Jyne, unable to resist a final quip, muttered under her breath, "Let's hope he's not allergic to flowers."

Al, however, remained steadfast, his eyes narrowing with a simmering intensity. "No amount of flowers will mask the stench of his deeds," he retorted.

I took a deep breath, grounding myself. "Remember, this is a delicate dance. We aim for justice, not chaos," I reminded the group.

Evelina nodded in agreement. "We're here for a resolution, not retaliation," she emphasized.

"Yes, resolution. As long as that idiot king beheads that baron, I'm okay with it," Al declared, his disdain for the Lizard King laid bare.

Eir couldn’t help but chuckle due to Al’s statement. But he tried to cover it. Still, I could see his smile beneath his hood.

I exchanged a glance with Evelina. I knew the Lizard King's actions had provoked anger, but maintaining decorum was paramount in the delicate arena of diplomacy. "Words, Al," I interjected. Calling the Lizard King an idiot, no matter how warranted, could escalate tensions beyond repair.

His response, however, was unapologetically blunt, "Sorry not sorry for that."

"Because he has to show how big his ego is," Al chimed in, dripping with careless mockery.

I had to bite my lip to keep from bursting into laughter, but I decided to play it cool. Inside, though, I was giving Al mental high-fives for nailing the assessment of our 'grandiose visitor'.

Minutes later, the convoy arrived. The Lizard King, adorned in regal attire, approached. Al's defiance lingered.

I nodded subtly, signaling to Al that, for the time being, we had to tread carefully.

The formal greetings commenced, and Al's demeanor shifted to one of composed professionalism. "Your Majesty, welcome to the Dragon Tribe’s territory," he addressed the Lizard King.
