In a dimly lit room, Keith sat on his crystalline throne, holding an egg in his lap, which was nearly twice the size of an Ostrich's Egg.
He curiously looked at its colourful scales of purple, blue, indigo, and green, and there were even hints of golden on it.
"Come on, just tell me what Beast this is." He sighed and asked, and the System gave him the same answer as before.
{It is a surprise, Host.}
"Does the Magical Beast Encyclopedia that is available in the System Shop hold information about it?"
{The Encyclopedia available in the shop right now does not hold information about the Immortal Grade or Divine Grade Beasts.}
"It is something I desire, isn't it?" He smiled.
{The rewards issued by the quests are random, but they do align with the Host's needs, desires, goals, and things that are beneficial in general.}
"Right." He sighed again. "You wouldn't tell me its information even if spend some System Points or Fate Value to ask for it?"
{No, Host. You need to make a choice yourself.}
He could clearly sense a hint of playfulness from the System, and he helplessly shook his head.
"Fine then." Keith, stood up, making up his mind, and he stored the egg away before he walked out of the room.
According to the System, the Egg could hatch any day now, and if it was linked to its Master, it would hatch right away.
As much as he wanted to bind the Beast to himself, he decided against it.
There was someone who needed it more than him, and with the System, once it was levelled up enough, he could buy the Beast that he desired from it. And it was, of course, more fun to find them yourself.
Knocking on the door once, he opened and entered the room, and his ladies, who were surrounding his bride, all looked at him with mischievous smiles on their faces.
"She told us everything!" @@@@
"Hey! I didn't!" Feifei immediately defended herself against Kiara's words, and she realised her mistake.
"So, there's more?" Rebecca giggled, hugging her arm. "Tell us."
"Keith..." His bride pitifully looked at him, and he smiled at her.
"Come with me. I have a gift for you."
Feifei immediately shot up to her feet and rushed to him, and the rest of the girls were up on their feet too.
"What gift?" Celine curiously asked, and the rest looked at him in curiosity as well.
"We will show it to you later." He told them and then teleported away with Feifei.
"No fair!" Kiara pouted and then looked at her sisters, who were all curious too as to why Keith had not given the gift to Feifei in front of their eyes.
"Do you think he may have taken her way to have some fun?" Celine playfully asked, and both Amira and Reina blushed at her words.
"I will call you Feya." She giddily told the small dragon, who cutely yelped at everything she said.
Though Keith was indeed a little envious of her, he was not really bothered and was happy for her.
He, however, made up his mind to find himself a beautiful Fey Dragon in the future.
These beasts were truly some of the most beautiful creatures in existence. Feya would keep becoming more and more beautiful as time passed.
"You will have to feed her your Aura and Mana from now on." He told her, and she curiously looked at him.
"Just like I poured it in the Egg?"
"No." He shook his head. "Rebecca and Minami will teach you how to do it."
Right as he said his words, there was a knock on the door, and then Kiara curiously opened it and peeked inside.
"Eeeeeehhh!!!" Her shrill scream of surprise and excitement caught Feifei off-guard, and the next moment, she found the girl right next to her, leaning close and curiously looking at her Fey Dragon.
The rest of the ladies soon surrounded them as well, and not one of them paid any attention to him as they were just too engrossed in the most beautiful Beast that they had ever seen in their lives.
"What Magical Beast is it?" Minami curiously looked at him and asked.
"It's a Fey Dragon," He told her with a smile, and then she asked him how to differentiate between male and female Fey Dragon.
Keith answered with what the system told him, and all the girls attentively listened to him.
"How did you get it?" Rebecca finally asked, and he could tell that she wanted one for herself too.
It was the same for all of them, and he could only sigh in his heart at their interest in this Magical Beast.
"It was a gift." He told her and refused to say anything more.
"Feya will attract a lot of attention." The blonde meaningfully said, and he knew exactly what she was talking about.
"She will be able to disguise herself as she grows a few weeks old. Fey Dragons are extremely good at manipulating their size. She will be able to hide in your clothes or under your hair, right behind your neck."
"No thanks. I will just keep her on my shoulder." Feifei giggled as she lovingly scratched the crown on Feya's head, and the small dragon cutely yelped again, melting the hearts of the ladies. "Come, I will introduce you to Rouxi and Eira." She excitedly said and then walked out of the room with the girls, and only Rebecca stayed behind with him.
"Was the gift meant for her?" She knowingly asked, and when he sighed, she happily laughed at his reaction. "I can tell that you wanted it."
"I didn't know what it was. It was an Egg, but yes, I could have kept it for myself."
"Aww..." She teased him as she walked over and tip-toed to wrap her arms around his neck. "Are Fey Dragons strong?"
"Very." He smiled, and she pulled him in to take a sip of his lips.
"It's good then. Feifei will have more protection by her side in the future."
"Yes." He pressed his forehead against hers and then closed his eyes. "Void will throw a fit if he finds out that you took a liking to another Magical Beast."
Rebecca giggled at his words as she imagined her beloved pet's reaction, and then they both laughed together.
