Chapter 437 437:Final War[V]
A dense, coagulated mass of energy erupted from Walter's eyes, blazing like molten fire. The beam tore through the air like a searing column of destruction aimed directly at Evan.
The entire battlefield lit up in blinding radiance, the sheer force of the attack warping the air around it. It was like staring into the heart of a collapsing star with raw, unrelenting power surging forward.
Evan barely had a moment to react before the energy struck him.
BOOOOM!
The explosion shook the battlefield, sending shockwaves rippling outward in every direction. Concrete shattered, metal twisted, and the very ground beneath them fractured into deep trenches.
Smoke and fire churned, obscuring Evan from sight.
From within the blinding haze, Walter's laughter rang out, a cruel and mocking sound that echoed through the ruins.
"Hahaha! You never saw that coming, did you?" His voice dripped with arrogance. "We Xenomorphs are called Lesser Dragons in the vast outer world. Did you really think we had no hidden trump cards?"
Walter's burning eyes flared with power, his smirk widening as he raised his hands in triumph. "It was good fighting you, Evan. But this is where it ends."
SWISH!
Out of nowhere, a figure plummeted from above, landing with a sharp crack—Suri.
Blood dripped from her lips. Her body trembled, but her eyes burned with pure rage. Without hesitation, she charged at Walter, her hands clenched into tight fists.
Walter chuckled darkly. "Fool."
He swung his head around, redirecting the beam toward her.
A blinding streak of energy shot forward.
Suri gasped, trying to dodge—but it was too late.
BOOM!
The beam slammed into the place she had just leaped, sending her flying. She hit the ground hard, her body skidding across the rubble. Smoke rose from her scorched sleeves, and blood dripped from the fresh wounds.
She gritted her teeth, curling in on herself as pain wracked her entire body.
Walter sneered and took a step forward, ready to finish her off.
But then—
Huh?!
His smirk faltered. His glowing eyes narrowed as if something strange had happened.
A massive, translucent barrier started to form around Suri, flickering with an ethereal glow. The energy that had struck her sputtered and scattered, vanishing like mist.
"What?" Walter muttered, confused.
His beam attack had been negated.
Then, suddenly, the air grew heavy and thick with something dangerous.
Walter's expression froze as he turned his head, his instincts screaming at him.
From the smoke, a shadow emerged.
Step.
A slow, deliberate footstep.
The ground cracked beneath it. The sheer weight of his presence sent tremors through the battlefield.
"Kneel."
BOOOOOOM!
An invisible force crashed down on Walter like a falling meteor.
His body buckled instantly, crashing into the ground with a devastating impact.
"ARGHHHH!!!"
Walter screamed, his bones cracking under the pressure.
His limbs twitched violently, but he couldn't move—it felt as if a mountain had been placed on his back.
Then, a crushing weight pressed against the nape of his neck, forcing his face into the dirt.
He struggled, veins bulging, his face contorting in agony.
"What... is this...?!" he wheezed, his voice breaking under the pain.
Evan lowered his power just enough to let Walter speak.
Gasping for breath, Walter's eyes darted wildly, his voice trembling.
"Te... telekinesis...?" he rasped.
Then, with a look of sheer horror, he asked: "How... How do you have superpowers...? It's not possible."
Evan's gaze didn't waver. "Why isn't it possible?" His voice was sharp, ice-cold.
The world around them trembled, the ground quaking beneath his feet.
Walter choked, his body convulsing under the pressure.
"Because..." he gasped, "we ensured human mutation remained suppressed. We made sure no one on Earth could develop powers like this."
His voice turned grave. "We have been keeping the mutation of genes in humans in check."
Then, despite his pain, Walter laughed.
"Hahaha..."
Blood dripped from his lips, but he kept laughing.
"Now... I understand... Cosmic energy... You can wield it, right?"

He sneered, his bloodstained teeth flashing. "You may be strong now, Evan... but you'll never reach the stars."
His voice grew darker. "No human except you will ever wield cosmic energy."
"On Earth, it's us today. Tomorrow, it will be someone else." His eyes glowed again. "You humans will always grovel beneath the true rulers of the universe. You humans are one of the lowest and weakest of the bunch."
Evan's jaw clenched.
For a moment, his aura flared—dark, heavy, suffocating.
But then... he exhaled slowly.
His gaze turned colder than ever before.
Walter's smirk faltered.
