Chapter 1783 - 1797: The Birth of the Little Bun (Part 9)
The two little ones who were disliked by their father right after birth have been in the incubator all along. The bigger one was strong and healthy and could be held out early, but the smaller one had a frail body and was diagnosed with a newborn disease, still staying in the nursery box.
The eldest son was carried out first and brought in front of the Yu Family. Although everyone was still quite worried about the smaller one not coming out yet, when the eldest was brought out, he managed to capture almost everyone’s attention.
The little one, full of energy, looked very much like Yu Zexiao, yet not as refined and pretty as Yu Zexiao, but more manly and heroic. Dressed in a little outfit, tiny paws loosely clenched, bright black eyes rolled around, and after a while, closed his eyes, sleeping soundly.
His lively nature was matched by his appetite. The little fellow, once brought to his mother’s side, sniffed around like a puppy searching for milk, quickly locating the small mountain that provided him nourishment, and his toothless mouth eagerly sucked, eating contentedly.
Just newly born, having his first meal here with mom, he drank a little and was full. Soon, however, he was hungry again, after just two hours, the little guy cried—hungry.
"This kid, eats so much! Later, we might need to have formula added," after feeding another meal, the little thing was satisfied, closed his eyes, and fell asleep. Beside him, Yu Zexiao teased the little one’s face with his finger, which might have made the little guy feel a bit uncomfortable, and he furrowed his little brow, grunting in displeasure.
"By the way, what’s the name of this kid?" Jian Anning raised her head to glance at him; the two kids had no names yet and were being called "brother" and "younger brother."
"Dad and grandpa said to let us pick names ourselves for the kids. Anyway, there’s no rush, but we can choose nicknames for them," Yu Zexiao smiled, he had been looking through numerous books recently to figure out names for the kids.
"Nicknames?" Jian Anning frowned, thought about it, suddenly lifted her head and said, "Can we call the two kids Little Sweet Potato and Little Sweet Potato?"
"Why?" Yu Zexiao asked the question but quickly understood and followed with a smile, "Alright, as you wish." Then he bowed his head, touched the little guy’s face with his fingers, "Little Sweet Potato, Little Sweet Potato, do you like this name?"
Perhaps because just now, dad already poked him, making the little guy particularly annoyed with the adult disturbing his sleep; at this time, Yu Zexiao came to tease him again, and the newly named Little Sweet Potato immediately furrowed his brow and cried.
After eating and drinking, Little Sweet Potato’s cries were so loud they made Yu Zexiao’s scalp numb. The parents beside him also scolded him, "Xingxing, stop messing with Little Sweet Potato, he’s just a baby!"
Yu Zexiao awkwardly handed the crying child to Xia Ziyu’s arms, from then on harbored a poor impression of his eldest son who wasn’t on "the same wavelength" with him!
Little Sweet Potato could eat and sleep well, and after a few days, he looked different again. The baby grew quickly, soon plumping up considerably, his mother’s milk all for himself provided ample nutrition, a week later, he had already grown chubby.
Meanwhile, the other Little Sweet Potato, however, kept facing one ailment after another, after the newborn jaundice, caught a cold leading to a bit of pneumonia, continuing to stay in the incubator.
