Chapter 53 - 53: [Boss!]

Chapter 53 - 53: [Boss!]

"Avida. Can you tell me who those bastards were?"

She then took a step back, before looking at me with a serious expression. Her eyes narrowed at me with that smile turning serious for a moment before she sighed and then spoke,

"No. Let me do it. Or to be precise, me and Rebas. Since he is still alive, I think he would appreciate it if you don't interfere. Thanks for the concern though, glad to see there are still people who would take revenge for us."

Hearing her words, I sighed as I nodded at her. What she said was right. Unless it involves me personally, I should let Rebas handle this. It wouldn't be fair to steal his revenge.

"Ah! Evelin was missing you a lot," Avida spoke as she made a smile while I felt shivers down my spine.

"Boss? Why? What happened?" I asked in a hurried manner, to which an evil grin formed on Avida's face as she spoke,"she was speaking of how useful you would have been in a situation like this. She is currently on her way to get a better weapon. Rebas getting killed while she went tracking tickled her off badly, and now she wanted to take revenge so she went to improve her gear."

"Is the guy who killed Reba, okay?" Now I was worried about the guy who got Boss on her tail. Seems like I wasn't really needed here.

"Well. They had a big fight but given how everything was favorable for that bastard in that tutorial, the fight was a draw," Avida said and I sighed as well,

"Well. Fighting isn't Boss's main suit. If she had used tracking abilities, she would have trapped him good enough to kill him a dozen times."

Avida shook her head as she agreed,"yeah. But you know how boss is when she is angry."

"I guess so," I sighed before speaking," all right. Let's go meet the boss then. There are a couple of things that I need to tell you all. But let's do it together."

"Ah! I can't. I actually need to find a skill shop. From what we have collected so far, there should be a skill shop in this place. I and Invar went to

His eyes widened for a few moments before he gritted his teeth. Unable to refute my words, he just glared at me before I spoke to Boss,

"I know a weapon shop. It's called [Pristine's Shop!] which will sell you some good artifacts and weapons. Though it's a bit costly, I think we can find some proper goods there."

Hearing that, the Boss smiled widely as she nodded before she started leaving from there. Ignoring the shopkeeper, who looked like he was planning something ominous, we left from there.

I think I heard 'You dare not fail the tutorial. Or else, I will personally make things hell for you,' which made me sigh again. Getting involved with boss always results in some form of conflict. It wasn't something that I got used to even after going through a dozen times or more.

"Hey Adrian! We are going for a hunt!" Boss, Evelin, spoke as she looked at me with a deep look. This was the most serious she has been ever since the last boss got killed. It reminded me of some bitter sweet memories of the past. Though knowing the reason why she was making that face, I could only look at her with a troubled expression.

"You know me boss. I don't like to get involved," I answered her with a deep sigh. I was expecting this already.

"Rebas is dead," a sudden flare boiled up inside her eyes, to which I looked at Avida and spoke," you explain. I will look around for the others," before I observed the map again and began searching for Invar and Levi's name. Given that I have confirmed that they are around here, I shouldn't have any problem locating them on the map here as well.

Previously I did not know if they would even appear here, so I didn't bother checking the map as doing it manually would be much better. But now that I know that they are here, and nearby, I can exploit the [Map!] to find out where they could be.

While I searched for the rest of them, Avida explained what I told her to Boss. Boss was shocked at first to hear that, but when she heard that I was the one who told her, she believed it immediately. A smile blossomed on her face as she kept asking the same questions multiple times, smiling even more each time Avida answered.

Then the conversation went on how I met her and a couple of things that I talked about with Avida.

"All right. I found the others. They are close so let's go," I interrupted them, to which they nodded before we three started walking in the direction where the closest person was.
