Chapter 46 Gorilla Grodd
Chapter 46 Gorilla Grodd
Upon hearing Jonathan's shouts, Martha Kent grabbed a baseball bat and ran downstairs, only to find Joey berating her husband as soon as she stepped outside.
"Jonathan, what's going on outside?"
Jonathan's neck turned bright red, but he didn't dare to argue with Joey, after all, Joey was a superhuman who had just knocked out everyone in the yard with the slightest movement.
Joey looked into Jonathan's eyes but didn't see the anger or stubbornness he was expecting. He really hoped Jonathan would put on airs and have a big argument with him.
But all the other person saw in their eyes was apprehension and fear, leaving Joey with nowhere to vent her anger. After all, they weren't her parents, and this world wasn't hers.
"Grass!"
Joey finally stopped floating in the air and let himself fall to the ground, covering his face with his hands: "To hell with this world."
Martha Kent looked at the young man in the red cape in front of her and couldn't help but think that if she and Jonathan had really decided to adopt a child from a big city back then, they might be this age by now.
"Don't be sad, child."
Martha gently stroked Joey's head affectionately: "This world is indeed terrible, but we're all trying, aren't we? It will slowly get better, and Jonathan and I both believe that."

A massive army of various steel vehicles is galloping across the vast African plains, with a group of black gorillas sitting inside and on the roofs of the vehicles.
Surrounded by them in the very center is a silverback gorilla nearly two meters tall, named Grud, the gorilla's "most powerful brain".
His mind is so powerful that it can easily manipulate and distort the will of most living beings, making them work for him.
On the distant horizon, the figures of human armies appeared, equipped with various advanced weapons that they had previously used to fight each other, and they aimed at Gerud's vanguard legion.
But before they could even open fire, the situation on the battlefield took a bizarre turn, as they all involuntarily turned their guns on their comrades amidst horrified stares.
After a brief period of commotion, Grud's ape lieutenant led the other ape soldiers to cheerfully clean up the battlefield and apprehend the survivors who were utterly terrified.
As soon as Grud reached out, one of his ape jesters went to the prisoners of war and, amidst screams of terror, plucked a fresh human head from their heads.
Then the jester opened the skull like opening a coconut and presented the fresh brains to His Majesty Gerud.
Gruud believed that drinking brains would allow him to gain the wisdom and power of the other person.
In Africa, the cycle of humans killing animals, humans killing humans, and animals killing animals seems to be an eternal theme, but since the awakening of the Gerudo, only one theme has existed in this desert and grassland.
The gorillas kill animals; the gorillas kill people.
"stop!"
Kara descended from the sky, blocking the convoy's path. The immense impact of the Kryptonian's fall shattered the entire formation of the gorilla army.
The gorillas fired indiscriminately in Kara's direction without any organization, continuing to pull the trigger even after running out of bullets, until the smoke cleared and Kara, who was at the center of the fire, was unharmed.
"Get out of the way!"
With a roar, Gerud chased away the increasingly primal followers around him and pounced on the invulnerable girl:
"Finally, a formidable opponent! I will tear your spine apart!"
For the past two years, Gruud has been virtually invincible in Africa. These pathetic and insignificant humans have been unable to mount any effective resistance, leaving Gruud utterly bored.
Grud craved stronger opponents, not piles of corpses rushing at him.
But the next second, Gerud realized he was terribly wrong, because this opponent was simply too powerful.
Gerd could tell that the other person had received almost no combat training, but the punches and kicks she threw in her panic were ridiculously fast.
Moreover, she possessed immense strength disproportionate to her petite female frame; a single, simple punch nearly knocked Gerd unconscious.
Gruud attempted to use his mind control abilities to turn the tide of the battle, but the opponent's will was like a raging inferno, leaving him helpless.
Faced with a power capable of easily killing him, Gerud did not hesitate to kneel and beg for mercy: "Spare me!"
"You've killed so many people; you must pay the price for your evil deeds!"
Kara said this, but upon hearing the pleas for mercy, she stopped punching: "Why did you commit such an act of violence?"
Why?
Grodd laughed at the question asked by the Supergirl:
"Because this is how Africa survives. Humans used to kill us, now we kill humans, it's all the same."
If humans treated us like this, would you still be as furious as you are now?
Admit it, you humans are such hypocritical animals. You talk about a world of great harmony, but in reality, you only care about your own people. You even often redefine what "your own people" means.
The war between Aquaman and Wonder Woman in Europe had only just affected hundreds of thousands of people, yet they were already being criticized by the global media as being more evil than Hitler on Earth.
In the past two years, I have led my gorilla empire to conquer half of Africa, yet there are still not many people in the world who know the name of me, Gerud.
This is simply a matter of where the war took place and the skin color of the victims.
"this......"
The Supergirl was speechless for a moment.
good chance!
Gruud suddenly activated his mind control ability, and his brainwaves invaded Kara's brain at the moment she relaxed. The Kryptonians' minds are far stronger than those of ordinary people, and a tug-of-war of will and thought between the two began in Kara's mind.
"what!"
Kara clutched her head in agony, blood seeping from her nostrils and ears. The other gorillas around her rushed forward, trying to devour her alive.
hum~
Several beams of heat swept across, slicing any gorillas that dared to approach Kara into pieces. Then, a red line streaked across the sky and appeared before Grud:
"Guess what? I just heard what you said, and I have a perfect argument to refute you."
Joey, who had just thrown a few bastards into Mexico, spread his fingers, reached out and pressed his hand against Grud's forehead. While Grud was still preoccupied with Kara's thoughts, Joey crushed the pointed gorilla head into pieces, then said to himself:
"But you don't deserve to hear it."
