Chapter 2269: The fourth location

Chapter 2269: The fourth location

"So, how do you feel?" Solista asked when she saw me come back to my senses.

I didn’t say anything as I just looked at her with a calm look on my face.

After all, it was hard for me to answer this question after that experience that I had.

Only after a while did I answer her question with a question of my own, "What was that place?"

Solista didn’t answer this question, but the look that she gave me was more than enough to answer it.

She couldn’t tell me.

This was most likely one of the things that she was restricted when it came to things that she could tell me. Though there was a part of her expression that seemed to tell me that even if she could tell me, she wouldn’t have said anything.

Whatever that place was, it was a place that must be quite important to the gods if she was willing to go this far.

But there was one thing that was certain, it was that that world did exist.

Even after coming back to this divine realm, I could still feel the connection that I had established with that world after becoming their God of Creation. It was faint, but it wasn’t as if the connection was completely severed.

That meant that somewhere out there, that world was real.

All of the people that I had encountered and guided in that world were all real.

This just went to confirm what I had been thinking the entire time.

"They are creating mini worlds to run their experiments. They have already seen how this scenario ends many times before."

I couldn’t stop a small chill from running down my spine as that thought passed through my mind, but I didn’t let that set me back.

Since Solista wasn’t willing to answer that question, the only thing that I could do was ask, "Did I pass?"

Once again, Solista didn’t answer this question.

But this time, it didn’t seem like she was trying to avoid answering the question. Instead, it looked like she was thinking about how to word her answer.

After a moment of silence, Solista said, "You passed and you passed with full marks."

"Full marks?" I couldn’t help repeating in a skeptical voice.

After all, how could one really decide what full marks were in this kind of trial?

There really was no way to judge how developed a civilization is since there were definitions of this. A civilization was able to develop in many different ways, so there were many scenarios that could be considered full marks by this logic.

Still, I didn’t really question this since it meant that I had accomplished my goal.

Now the only thing that was left was...

"Before I give you the location, please take some time to rest. Even if your body isn’t tired, I’m sure that your mind has been through a lot."

There was a part of me that felt like she was just stalling, but I knew that this wasn’t the case. The look that she was giving me was one of genuine concern and it would have been a lie to say that I wasn’t tired mentally.

The amount of time that I had spent in the world created for the trial was not a small amount. Even if I had used the time speed up function, it wasn’t as if I had been using it all the time.

Counting up all the time that wasn’t sped up, it was around a year that I had spent in that space developing that civilization.

All of that had been condensed into what seemed like a few seconds here, which meant that my mind had been running all of this information during that time. So I was indeed quite tired after returning to my body like this.

Taking a deep breath, I said, "It seems like there’s something that’s preventing me from reaching the location of the fourth inheritance. Just give me an idea of where it is."

That was the other thing that I had noticed from what Solista said.

She seemed to hesitate a bit when she heard this, but then she gave it to me straight, "The final inheritance is in this divine realm. I’ll take you there myself, but it’s something that you should prepare yourself to accept."

A deep frown appeared on my face when I heard this.

It didn’t seem like Solista was lying to me, but the way that she said this really seemed strange. It felt like there was something that was hidden from me that would be revealed soon, but it was also something that might make my whole world collapse.

If they were willing to finally tell me the truth, then that would be good.

But it felt like there was something that was very wrong with this truth.

Which was why Solista made this suggestion.

She most likely wanted me to see the people that I cared about the most one last time before this so I could gather myself. So that when I learned whatever it was that they were keeping from me, I would be able to compose myself.

It was just that this made me even more doubtful of what this was all about.

Taking a deep breath, I said, "Alright, send me back."

Solista gave a nod, but she didn’t send me back right away.

Instead, she just said, "Just know that this was all done for your sake."

I couldn’t stop the look of disdain from appearing on my face when I heard this.

No matter how I thought about it, it didn’t seem like this was the truth.

It even felt like there was something seriously wrong when she said this.

But in the end, I chose not to respond since it was better that way.

I didn’t know what to argue back, but I would learn about it soon.

When the time came, I didn’t think that it would change my thoughts at all.
