Rise of the Lustful Evil Monarch (Re)

Chapter 604: Red Haired Girl (2)

Chapter 604: Red Haired Girl (2)

Third Person’s POVEverything about him seemed different from the people she normally met.

At the same time, there was also the mystery surrounding him.

The image of that frozen coffin hidden beneath the Frost Soul Orchid repeatedly surfaced in her mind.

The more she thought about it, the more curious she became.

Unfortunately, she simply didn’t know where to begin.

Should she ask about his background, his powers, his life, or the mysterious coffin?

But how would he react if she acted so comfortable with him so soon?

Would he say that she was reaching out too much or mock her for her obsessive attention towards him and shameless behavior?

While she was still debating internally about how to satisfy her curiosity while maintaining her image and standing in front of him, Ethan suddenly broke the silence.

"I, Eryndor, thank you, Princess, for taking me out from beneath that godforsaken mountain."

His voice was calm and sincere.

"As repayment for that favor, I have already decided to cooperate with your teacher and help you in the future against Madam Shixea and your half-brother."

Arlene was slightly surprised and, at the same time, delighted by his directness.

But before she could respond, Ethan continued.

"In return, I have a small request."

His eyes shifted towards her.

"Can you tell me everything that happened from the moment you discovered me in the Aurora Mountain Range?"

His expression remained friendly.

"I would like to know everything. Including how your brother Erius managed to take me away from you."

As he finished speaking, a faint smile appeared on his face.

The request sounded natural, reasonable, and even understandable.

After all, anyone in his position would want answers.

Looking into his crimson eyes and seeing the warm smile on his face, Arlene suddenly felt that he was surprisingly easy to talk to.

There was no arrogance in his tone.

And she could sense no pressure tactics from him or any attempt at manipulation with her.

There was just simple curiosity.

For a brief moment, she even found herself wanting to answer immediately.

However, despite her gentle nature, Arlene wasn’t so foolish.

She was still the daughter of the Ice Emperor.

She had grown up amidst conspiracies, politics, and hidden agendas.

A pleasant smile appeared on her face.

"Yes, Young Master Eryndor."

Her voice remained soft.

"I can tell you everything."

She paused before continuing.

"But in return, I have a small request of my own."

Ethan’s expression didn’t change as he followed up seamlessly.

"What is it?"

Arlene hesitated briefly before answering.

"During the battle that occurred in the Ghost Pine Woods because of you, one of my maids was captured by Erius."

A trace of worry appeared in her eyes.

"I would like your help rescuing her from the Star Palace."

"The Star Palace?"

Ethan repeated.

"Yes, the residence of Queen Shixea is known as the Star Palace."

Arlene nodded and said, while Ethan remained silent for several moments.

He wasn’t foolish enough to promise something which was impossible to complete for now.

At the same time, he knew that rejecting her outright would achieve nothing.

After thinking briefly, he finally nodded.

"Very well."

His tone was calm.

"I will do my best to rescue her."

Arlene’s eyes brightened slightly.

"However," Ethan continued,

"I will need a portrait of her and every detail you can provide regarding her appearance, habits, age, and current situation."

The smile on Arlene’s face widened.

Although she still had doubts regarding Ethan’s capabilities, she felt somewhat reassured.

After all, her teacher clearly valued him highly.

And despite only knowing him for a short time, Ethan didn’t strike her as someone who casually broke promises.

Thinking about this, she began narrating everything.

Surprisingly, she hid nothing.

She did not exaggerate her own achievements, nor did she attempt to make Erius appear worse than he was.

Instead, she recounted every event exactly as it had happened.

She told Ethan about discovering the Frost Soul Orchid, then uncovering the frozen coffin hidden beneath it, and then her astonishment upon seeing him.

She then explained how her aunt had suddenly appeared and saved them from a powerful demonic beast that had been guarding his resting place.

She then explained how they got out of the Aurora Mountain Range, before her aunt, the Ice Emperor’s sister, had to leave their group.

And the reason why their enemies dared to set up an ambush for her.

She explained how two traitors had emerged from within her own group, causing their location to be exposed.

And then, Erius had appeared unexpectedly with his powerful grandfather, who accompanied him, causing her forces to be ultimately overwhelmed.

Ethan listened quietly throughout the entire story, and his expression remained calm and unchanged all the while.

However, inwardly, he couldn’t help sighing.

The more he learned, the more complicated the situation became.

Originally, he had believed himself to be trapped in a dangerous but simple power struggle.

But now he realized the truth was far more troublesome, as too many powerful people had become involved in this shit.

There were Shixea, Dominic, the Ice Emperor’s children, the Chief Priest, who was Shixea’s father, and even the Ice Emperor’s sister.

Just thinking about it made his head hurt.

Especially after personally witnessing Dominic’s terrifying strength.

If Dominic was already so frightening, then Ethan couldn’t even imagine how powerful the Chief Priest or the Ice Emperor’s sister truly was.

Those individuals stood at the absolute peak of the Northern Glacial Region.

Against people like them, his current strength was insignificant.

The realization made him feel an unusual sense of urgency.

Arlene’s story continued for a long time.

As she narrated the events, the two of them descended from the tower, crossed the frozen bridge spanning the lake, and eventually left the quiet area surrounding the tower altogether.

Soon, the peaceful scenery of the frozen lake disappeared behind them as they reentered the bustling grounds of the New Moon Magic Academy.

As Ethan and Arlene left the quiet surroundings of the frozen lake and reentered the common academy grounds, the atmosphere around them changed completely.
