Quick Transmigration: Survive to the End

Chapter 818 World 366

Chapter 818 World 366

After searching for a while, Shen Ruyin finally found a letter at the bottom of the box.

Feeling the dust was too thick and having no desire to get out of the ground, Yu Xing peeked out slightly: [They're really well hidden; any more and they'd be completely invisible.]

Shen Ruyin opened the letter.

The letter was left by the woman's ancestor. It said that a demon was sealed inside the box. If anyone accidentally fell in, they should not open it. Instead, they should follow the instructions in the letter to leave. If the person was a fellow disciple of the benefactor, they should take the box back to deal with it and fulfill the benefactor's last wish.

Shen Ruyin turned the letter over and immediately saw the route map on the back.

This room has a mechanism that can open a passage leading directly into the valley.

Shen Ruyin carefully folded the letter and put it away. She was about to study the talisman and consider whether to go back right after leaving the sect or to take a little more liberty and deal with the demon herself when she suddenly heard the box make a sound.

A clear, youthful voice said, "Who's outside? Is anyone there? Help! Help me!"

Yu Xing's tail tip stood on end. Relieved when she realized the voice came from inside the box, she asked, "Xing Luo, do you think I should slap it to quiet it down?"

[The demon can scare a fox to death!]

Shen Ruyin pointed to the thick layer of dust on the box.

She just picked up the box and looked at the bottom, and there were several obvious fingerprints on it.

Yu Xing immediately abandoned the plan; it was a clean and good fox.

Perhaps seeing no movement outside, Youdao, in a hoarse voice that sounded like a villain, sneered, "Save you? Do you think they'd save you?"

“If they save you, they’ll release me too, but of course they wouldn’t dare.”

"I've already said that these people deserve to die, I'm just atoning for their sins in advance."

"Now that you've saved them, what good have you gained? You're still just going to stay here with me in this dark and hopeless place."

"Why don't you take my advice and tell me how to undo the talisman? That way, we can both get out of here."

"You're dreaming!" the young man's voice said. "Even if my soul is scattered to the winds, I will never let you out!"

Hearing their argument, Shen Ruyin tilted her head and finally decided to use magic to wash her hands first.

Yu Xing, perched on her shoulder, yawned sleepily: "Does it think we're idiots?"

[The first sentence was about asking us for help, but then they started arguing, each playing a different character.]

Since that young man knew how to get out, why did he ask for help?

Yu Xing used telepathy to point and gesture at the demons inside the box.

Shen Ruyin almost couldn't help but laugh, praising it via telepathy: "Yu Xing is so smart, you can't tell it's going to be fooled."

Yu Xing was so happy he almost flicked his tail, leaving afterimages: "That's right. Although I haven't been to the mortal realm much, these little tricks are things those old fogies on Beast Taming Peak have been using for ages. How could they possibly fool me?"

Shen Ruyin touched it to the talisman, studied the increasingly faint and blurry patterns on it, and realized that it was for Fu Feng's exclusive use. Only then did she pretend to know nothing and ask, "Who... are you all?"

The arguing paused.

The young man said urgently, "I am a disciple of the Immortal Sect."

"Disciples of a cultivation sect?" Shen Ruyin raised an eyebrow. "Which cultivation sect?"

The young man paused for a moment before replying, "Who is that fellow Daoist outside? I am a disciple of the Supreme Sect."

“The Supreme Sect,” Shen Ruyin said slowly, “I’ve been there. Which branch of the Supreme Sect are you a disciple of? Who is your master?”

The young man replied, "I am just an ordinary outer disciple of the Supreme Sect, and I have not yet formally become a disciple of a master."

"When...when did you go to the Supreme Sect?"

Shen Ruyin thought for a moment and said, "During the grand event."

The young man continued, "The Supreme Sect's grand gathering? You've come at a good time. The sect must be very lively."

“Yes, it’s very lively,” Shen Ruyin replied, while picking through her bracelet. She then affixed talismans around the box and reinforced the outside of the stone chamber with two more.

She pretended to believe the young man's voice in the box: "So you really are a fellow Daoist from the Supreme Sect. How can I save you? Won't I release the bad guys who were with you when I save you?"

“Fellow Daoist, don’t worry,” the young man said, his voice brimming with barely suppressed joy. “You just need to let me out. Once I’m out, I’ll have my own way of dealing with this thing.”

The villain's voice rang out at just the right moment: "No, we can't let him out. You're not getting out."

“Hey you outside, let me tell you, I am a demon.”

"If you let him out, I'll definitely get out too. When I go out and wreak havoc on the world, you'll be held responsible for the sins I commit!"

“Fellow Daoist, don’t listen to him,” the young man’s voice softened considerably, even carrying a hint of seduction. “He’s just afraid that I’ll seal him up again after I leave.”

The villain's voice immediately retorted: "You're talking nonsense! If you could seal me up separately, would you have kept me locked up in this box for so long?"

The young man snorted, "If I hadn't been injured back then, I would have killed you long ago."

"I was able to subdue you even when I was injured, let alone now that I have recovered."

"Fellow Daoist, please help me remove the talisman from its surface. I can't wait to completely annihilate this demon!"

Shen Ruyin finally had a chance to speak: "Just reveal it directly? Didn't you just say you had some special method? You're not lying to me, are you?"

“How could that be?” the young man said righteously. “Special methods are for ordinary people. You are a cultivator, so you don’t need to go through all that trouble. Just tear off the talisman.”

"This talisman has been around for over a hundred years, so its effect is very weak and it won't have any effect on you."

“So that’s how it is,” Shen Ruyin said, her face expressionless but her words full of emotion. “Wait a minute, I’ll tear it up right now!”

Shen Ruyin tore off the talisman using Fu Feng's technique without suffering any backlash. Then, she flipped a large bell-shaped container over and said, "Alright, I tore it off."

Upon hearing her words, the box was first tentatively bumped.

Upon hearing the click of the lock, the box suddenly became excited.

With a bang, the lock on the box was violently broken open, and both the lid and the lock were smashed to pieces.

An extremely ugly mouse emerged from the box.

The mouse poked its head out and immediately saw Shen Ruyin: "Oh, she's quite the beauty."

The voice was none other than that of the young man from before.

Shen Ruyin played along, feigning shock: "You! It's you!"

“That’s right, it’s me, Your Majesty,” the mouse deliberately spoke in two different voices in front of her, then chuckled twice and prepared to transform into human form.

The space inside shrank rapidly, until the rat's human form shrank to the size of a palm and filled the bell.

"What...what is this? Why is there such a thing?"

“Yes, why?” Shen Ruyin tilted her head to look at it, revealing a beautiful smile, “Giving hope and then bestowing despair, isn’t that a wonderful play?”
