Chapter 137 Accidentally Entering the Ghost Castle

After destroying the second device, Lily and her team continued to move forward, this time their goal was a legendary ghost castle, where there was not only a third device, but also more secrets hidden behind it.

They walked into the castle and found the gate open, as if waiting for them. Lily and Mo Li exchanged glances and decided to go in and check the situation first.

The lights in the castle were dim, and the air was filled with a stale smell. They walked forward cautiously, and suddenly heard a strange laugh. Everyone stopped and looked around nervously.

"This place is really eerie," Feifei muttered, "Why do I feel a little cold?"

"Don't be afraid," Jax comforted him, "We are together, and we have nothing to fear."

They continued walking forward and came to a hall where they found an old round table with several ancient books and an oil lamp on it. The oil lamp was still on, and it was obvious that someone had been active here not long ago.

"Who lit this light?" Feng Yang asked in a low voice.

At this moment, a portrait on the wall suddenly moved, and a ghost floated out of the portrait. The ghost looked very friendly, and said to them with a smile: "Welcome to my home, I am the owner of this castle, my name is Arthur."

Although everyone was frightened, they relaxed a little when they saw that the ghost had no malicious intentions.

"Arthur, we are here to find a device," Lily said straight to the point, "It may cause the collapse of time and space, and we must destroy it."

Arthur nodded: "I know what you are looking for, and that thing is indeed here. However, to find it, you must pass my test."

"What test?" Xiaopang asked curiously.

Arthur smiled and said, "My test is very simple. I will play hide-and-seek with you. I will hide, and you must find me within a limited time. Once you find me, I will tell you where the device is."

"That sounds good," Mo Li said with a smile, "We accept the challenge."

Arthur nodded, and then his body slowly became transparent, and finally disappeared completely into the air. Everyone immediately took action and searched the castle separately.

Lily and Mo Li were in a group, and they searched everywhere in the corridor. Feifei and Feng Yang went to the second floor, while Xiaopang and Jacks were in charge of the basement. The interior structure of the castle was complex, with crisscrossing corridors and numerous rooms, like a maze.

"Where do you think Arthur is hiding?" Mo Li asked Lily.

Lily frowned and thought for a while, then said, "If I were a ghost, I would probably hide in a place that is hidden but can still observe us."

As they continued searching, they suddenly heard a loud noise coming from the basement. Lily and Mo Li ran over and found Xiao Pang lying on the ground with a glowing stone in his hand.

"I found this!" said Xiaopang excitedly, "but I don't know what it is."

Jax looked at the stone carefully, his face became serious. "This is a magic stone. It can be used to track ghosts. Arthur is a really smart guy."

They continued their search with the Philosopher's Stone and soon found a hidden passage. At the end of the passage was a small room where Arthur was sitting, smiling at them.

"Congratulations, you found me," Arthur said, "The device is in the cabinet over there."

Lily opened the cabinet and saw the third device. She and Mo Li worked together to destroy it, and the device turned into dust.

"Thank you for your help, Arthur," Lily said gratefully.

Arthur smiled and said, "I am also trying to protect this world. You are brave heroes, keep going, there are more challenges waiting for you."

The team left the castle and continued their journey. On the way, Fatty suddenly remembered something and asked Jax: "What else can the magic stone be used for?"

Jax smiled and said, "The Philosopher's Stone has many uses. We may need it again in the future."

Everyone continued to move forward with a smile. Although the road ahead was still full of unknowns, they knew that as long as they united as one, they would be able to overcome all difficulties.
