Chapter 108 Hide and Seek

After the Stormbringer was defeated, the palace regained its brief peace. Lily and Mo Li decided to use this time to relax. They came to the imperial garden of the palace and enjoyed a rare leisure time.

"I can finally relax." Lily sighed as she lay on the grass, looking at the blue sky and white clouds.

Mo Li sat aside and joked, "But our peaceful days are always short-lived, don't you think?"

Lily was about to retort when suddenly, a little maid ran over and said breathlessly, "Princess, Master Mo Li, there is a strange guest in the palace."

"What happened again?" Lily stood up helplessly, "Let's go and take a look."

They followed the maid to the front hall of the palace, where they saw a man in exotic clothes sitting in the middle. He had curly blond hair, green eyes that sparkled with wisdom, and a confident and mysterious smile on his face.

"Welcome to our palace, I am Princess Lily. This is Master Mo Li." Lily introduced herself politely.

The man smiled slightly, stood up and saluted: "Greetings, Princess and Prince. My name is Alfred, and I am a traveler from the West."

"Mr. Alfred, I wonder what brings you to my palace?" Mo Li asked.

Alfred smiled softly and took out an ancient map from his arms: "I heard that there is a mysterious gem here that can control time and space. I came here to seek help and find the true power of this gem."

Lily and Mo Li looked at each other, both of them a little alert. Having just experienced the incident with Stormbringer, they were already wary of this mysterious gem.

"We do have a gem, but it's sealed and we don't want any more trouble," Lily said.

Alfred nodded. "I understand your concerns. I am not here to seize the gem. Instead, I hope to study it with you and find its true purpose."

Lily and Mo Li felt relieved and decided to give Alfred a chance.

"Okay, but we must strictly monitor the entire process to ensure that there is no further danger." Mo Li said.

Alfred readily agreed, and they decided to take him to see the emperor first and explain their intentions. After listening to him, the emperor also thought it was worth a try, so he agreed to Alfred's request.

In the next few days, Alfred, Lily and Mo Li studied the mysterious gem together. They found that this gem was not only a tool for manipulating time and space, but also a key to another world.

"What does this mean?" Lily asked.

"This means we might discover a whole new world, one hidden outside of our reality," Alfred explained.

As they delved deeper into the research, a strange thing happened. Every midnight, the gem would emit a faint light, and the surrounding environment would change slightly. Sometimes they would find some objects that did not belong to this world appear in the palace, such as a strange key, an ancient letter, and even a talking bird.

"Where did these things come from?" Lily asked in confusion.

"It's possible that the gem is attracting objects from another world," Alfred guessed.

Late one night, when the gem glowed again, Lily and Mo Li decided to investigate in person. They quietly followed the light to the Imperial Garden and found a little girl in strange clothes standing among the flowers, holding a glowing crystal ball in her hand.

"Who are you?" Lily asked.

The little girl turned around and showed an innocent smile: "My name is Lucy, I come from another world, I am lost, can you help me find the way home?"

Lily and Mo Li were surprised, but decided to take Lucy back to the palace and ask her about her situation in detail. Lucy told them that she came from a place called "Fantasy Kingdom", where there were many magical creatures and magic.

"I accidentally triggered a portal and ended up here," Lucy said.

"It seems that this gem can not only control time and space, but also connect different worlds." Alfred said thoughtfully.

Lily decided to help Lucy find her way home, but they needed more information, so they began looking for the ancient letter, hoping to find some clues.

There was a riddle written on the letter, which seemed to be a guide to the fantasy kingdom. After solving the riddle, Lily and her friends finally found the location of the portal.

"The portal is in the underground secret room of the palace. We have to go there quickly." Lily said.

They arrived at the secret room and found a portal that was shining brightly. Lucy said excitedly, "This is it. Thank you, I can finally go home!"

Lily and Mo Li smiled as they bid farewell to Lucy, watching her disappear into the portal. At this moment, Alfred also showed a satisfied smile.

"It seems that our adventure is far from over. This gem hides countless secrets. We must continue exploring." Lily said firmly.

Mo Li nodded: "No matter how many unknown challenges lie ahead, we will meet them as always."
