C34 – Causing Troubles
In a second, the two exchanged a fleeting, awkward smile.
“Did you come for the exam too?”
Glancing at the nearby classroom, Jiang Hao inquired.
“And you’re here as well?”
Soong Wan raised an eyebrow and responded.
A smile played on Jiang Hao’s lips, though he remained silent.
“What a surprise!”
As their conversation continued, a voice that irked Soong Wan rang out.
“Is that you, Student Jiang?”
Turning their heads, Jiang Hao and Soong Wan spotted Qin Shou approaching with exam tools in hand and a grin spread across his face.
“Wan’er, didn’t expect to see you!”
It appeared Qin Shou had just noticed Soong Wan and didn’t hesitate to call out.
At that moment, the gazes of the surrounding examinees converged on Jiang Hao, Soong Wan, and Qin Shou. A murmur of discussions rose among them.
“Isn’t that the esteemed scholar, Qin Shou, and our revered beauty of Heavenly River, Soong Wan? But who’s that accompanying them?”
“Who might he be, challenging the scholar, Qin Shou, to a competition? Could he be a scholar-lord as well?”
“Isn’t that Jiang Hao from the Eighth Class, renowned for his poor academic records due to his slumberous habits?! Why would he be here? And he dares to challenge the scholarly proficiency of the scholar-lord?”
