Episode 42.11

Viska drew a short sword with his left hand, pointed it at Lecan and began reciting a spell. Then a mass of bluish purple flame got generated and flew at Lecan. 's barrier stopped the attack, the flame brightly flared up before disappearing.

That blaze got Lecan back to his sense after a momentary black out. However, he still can't move his body with his face up. His neck has bent in an unconventional direction.

(Why won't my body move?)

(Not like I could put up a fight in this state though.)

Something took place in that moment.

His wound is getting healed, even his cervical bone is returning to normal.

Lecan checked the surroundings with <3D Perceptions> amidst his surprise.

Viska is raising his curved sword up high while charging at Lecan.

The umpire, Haydent isn't moving, seemingly having been frozen as well.

Lecan deployed his trump card here.

He made in his manifest in front of him. Taking items out of without using his hands is the result of his evolving, but he rarely ever employs it due to the humongous amount of mana the ability consumes.

The suddenly appearing blocked Viska's down swinging curved sword. An explosion at the direction of the blade edge occurred a moment later. That explosion missed Viska, but it forced him to stop attacking and leap backward.

As he was leaping, Viska shot out three magic attack at Lecan from the short sword in his left hand. Every one of the attack got stopped by 's barrier.

Lecan is still on the ground face up, unable to do anything besides checking the situation with <3D Perceptions>.

Viska threw away his short sword, switched his curved sword to his left hand, picked three short spears with his right hand and hurled them. Hurling spears at fallen foes is no small feat in practice. Yet, Viska aced the task.

The first spear hit Lecan's chest, and got flicked away by his Queen Spider's light armor.

The second spear hit his right shoulder, slightly scratching his overcoat.

The third spear hit his left check, gouging out flesh, shaving down bone before it got repelled away.

Viska had closed in on Lecan during the whole attack, he raised his curved sword with his right hand once again as he charged at the fallen Lecan.

That was when the petrifaction came undone.

"!"

manifested and blocked Viska's slash.

This was apparently deemed as an attack by , Viska's curved sword got flung back far away, forcing its user Viska to retreat back. That gave the precious time Lecan needed to regain his posture.

"!"

Lecan shot out a with his right hand as he got up with beast-like reflexes.

That went straight at Viska's face, but it was blocked by some sort of barrier.

Firmly back on his feet, Lecan put his right hand into his chest pocket, took the out and immediately swung it at Viska. However, it got stopped by a magic barrier as sparks scattered in the surroundings.

Viska who got his curved sword back in his left hand already let out a slash at Lecan's unguarded right side with tremendous speed.

Lecan took a half step forward while letting his overcoat to take that slash and began reciting a spell.

"!"

Just as Viska pulled back his curved sword for another strike, Lecan thrust out his left hand and recited the spell.

"!"

The magic attack was blocked by the barrier right in front of Viska's eyes, producing a bright light that robbed him of his vision.

"! ! ! ! ! !"

All the magic attack Lecan shot with his left hand was stopped by Viska's barrier. Lecan calmly observed his opponent with <3D Perceptions>. These attacks may not damage him, but the impacts seemingly still got transmitted to him, it's taking Viska his all just to endure the barrage, he can't afford to attack back.

"! ! ! ! ! !"

Lecan kept shooting the barrage of with his left hand as his right hand firmly grasped the .

"! ! ! ! ! !"

Thanks to 's Grace, Lecan's nearly exhausted mana pool was refilled back, boosting 's power further. Lecan's right eye is gleaming blazingly.

"! ! ! ! ! !"

As the barrage continued on, Viska's barrier finally ran out of fuel, a landed directly on him.

"Gua."

Lecan stopped his barrage of . And being a warrior he is, Viska also acrobatically switched his curved sword to his right hand and lunged at Lecan.

However, this was a trap Lecan set up. As he had been thoroughly watching Viska's movement, he easily dodged the attack. You leave yourself open when you're on the offensive. It's not Lecan to overlook that opening.

A single stroke of later, Viska's right arm got chopped off from elbow down.

"!"

The this time hit Viska straight in the face.

Viska got blown back without even a yelp.

Lecan thrust the tip of before the fallen, bloodied and powerless Viska's throat.

"Match over! It's Lecan-dono's victory!"

Haydent's verdict resounded in the arena.
