155: Awakened?

Depending on the situation, compatibility could be interpreted in different ways.In Zara’s case, it was the natural talent of her body.

In simplified terms, if she had a level 3 body and was receiving level 1 mana in it, it was inefficient for her talent.

But then she started to receive level 5 mana in her body thanks to me and my magical semen.

That was a blessing from the stars for her. It filled up her mana to the point that her talent and mana were on equal terms.

But now she was receiving level-5 mana in a level-3 body. Mana could be upgraded, talent…

Well, let’s just say it wasn’t easy.

There were two directions I could take now in that case.

One, let her body explode. Well, let’s not be too drastic about it now. In the initial stages, her body wouldn’t just accept that kind of pure mana and would expel it, if she was lucky, or it would have an adverse effect on her, which would then lead to her body exploding.

It will be exploding, that’s for sure.

The second option was saving her. One way of doing that was body reformation. But I doubt she was at that level yet, and for artificial body reformation, I didn’t have dragon hearts lying around. I got mine through sheer luck and a lot of difficulties.

Another way was increasing her body’s talent, but I’d rather not get into it because that was a very, very rare scenario in which she would have to find an herb or an elixir compatible with her body, her affinity of mana, which was fire, and then consume them properly for it to have an effect on her physique.

But that was still a temporary fix. The better solution was still reforming her body.

The question was, how should that be done?

And now that I was on that topic, I would have to check the rest of the bodies of the females I was with. If Zara, a noble whose body was better than commoners, was having this problem, there was a chance the others were too.

I would have to check that later, because right now I needed to head to my room in case someone came to call me and I wasn’t there.

The wait wasn’t long, as someone knocked on my door in just two hours, when the sun hadn’t properly risen in the sky.

When I opened the door, a young, busty maid stood there with light brown hair. I hadn’t seen this one before, but before I could properly take in her figure, she said, “Jack, Lady Elara commands your presence in her private sitting room immediately.”

The way she said it, she was looking down on me.

I didn’t mind, of course. I was more focused on the command at hand. Who was Elara? Was it Carlson’s wife, or his daughter-in-law? I didn’t know since none of them introduced themselves, and their names didn’t come up in any conversation either.

Only one way to find out.

I nodded without an answer and stepped out, closing the door behind me. I let my hand casually slide down the maid’s chest, cupping her left breast through her uniform.

I shook my head and opened the door as I received the go-ahead to enter.

She has been my personal maid for sixty-two years.” Elara gave a little background about herself and her maid. Voss, being her maiden name, probably, while the most shocking detail was about the duration of Valeria’s duty.

Sixty-two years meant they were at least ten years older than that. None of them looked so.

“I don’t think I follow, my lady,” I replied, still acting confused while I put some dots together, but I wasn’t going to say anything until confirmed.

Elara, still holding that calculating gaze where she was thinking ten steps ahead, added, “As I said, Valeria was never awakened. But now…”

She paused, as if to further create some suspense, before she said, “Put mana in your eyes and see through her.”

And I did just that. As I did, my eyes widened in shock. For real this time.

I was too busy to notice yesterday, since I was focused on the fact that she was a GILF and a BBW at that, doubling the pleasure, that she had no mana. She wasn’t an awakened.

But now, standing before me, she was one.

Once again, Elara noticed that shock in my eyes and said, “Go ahead, Valeria. Tell him about the changes in you.”

Her face looked a few years younger, even though there was no blemish to indicate her old age before. Her skin had a healthy glow, which she didn’t have yesterday.

Her long silver hair now had prominent streaks of black running through it, creating a beautiful contrast.

Her body seemed slightly firmer, though that required me to touch her to find out for sure, but from just the looks of it, I could tell she had turned even more bombastic than yesterday.

She was rivaling Rayla now, just half a step behind her.

“It is confirmed by a mana test that I have been awakened as a mage, though how I awakened as one is unknown to me,” Valeria replied in the same stoic voice as she did yesterday.

“Well, that’s hardly a coincidence, don’t you think, Valeria? You performed that strange deed with Jack yesterday, and today you stand beside me as a mage of the first circle, which takes at least a few months of training for newly awakened nobles. This kind of phenomenon has never been recorded in history.”

She then looked at me, her eyes having that calculating gleam that weighed heavily on my shoulders, and said, “Ever.”

Fuck. This wasn’t good.
