Chapter 192: Two Slashes To End It All!
Chapter 192: Two Slashes To End It All!As they continued soaring through the sky, the old man chased closely behind.
However, his speed was only slightly faster than Eleanor’s. Even though he pushed himself to catch up, there was still a gap between them that would take some time to close.
Eleanor glanced over her shoulder and shouted, "Think of something! That old man’s going to catch up soon!"
"What can I do?" Drayken replied with a calm shrug. "I’m just a Rank 5 dragon."
"..." Eleanor’s voice rose. "Are you seriously going to act like a child right now? You do realize we’ll both die, right?"
"I believe in your strength," Drayken said, giving her a thumbs-up. "You’ll definitely protect me, if you sacrifice your life."
"Sure, sure, I did save you," she muttered. Her tail moved like a snake, slipping behind Drayken and coiling tightly around his waist, lifting him up and pointing him toward the old man.
"Should I throw you out?"
"Sure," Drayken replied with calmness.
"..."
In the end, Eleanor just sighed and placed him on her back again.
"You can’t really do anything to me. I know that," Drayken said, casually rubbing her back like he was consoling a child.
She had treated him like a slave before, of course he had to collect some compensation for it.
"Have your injuries healed enough for you to joke around like this?"
"Yeah," Drayken said, standing up and stretching with a satisfied groan. "Good as new."
"Are all people from other worlds as powerful as you... no..." Eleanor paused.
"You know they’re already corrupted by the bloodline," Drayken said with a nonchalant shrug.
"You don’t feel anything for them?" Eleanor asked, a hint of curiosity in her voice.
"Not really," Drayken replied, still calm. "But... are they still alive?"
"...Yes," she admitted. "But since they’ve been implanted with the dragon bloodline, their minds are consumed by rage. Their sanity is completely gone."
"Hmm." Drayken touched his chin, thoughtful. "I might be able to help them."
"Really?" Eleanor looked at him, doubtful.
"I have a power that lets me control lower-ranked dragons, if their bloodline purity is weaker than mine. So maybe, I could work something out," he said, voice steady and calm.
"Okay then." She lit up instantly at his words. "But I doubt it’ll work, even the Supreme Dragon King couldn’t cure them."
"The old man?"
"How dare you disrespect him?" Eleanor roared.
"He’s my grandpa, though," Drayken said, patting her back with a teasing glint in his eyes.
"..." Eleanor couldn’t find a retort for a moment, so she quickly changed the subject.
"How do we deal with the old man?"
"Well, just head toward the Dragon Kingdom. I’m sure he wouldn’t dare chase us there."
"That could certainly work..."
But before Eleanor could finish, several figures suddenly flew into view, blocking their path. Dozens of them now hovered in the distance, spreading out wide enough across the sky that avoiding them was impossible, they would have to confront at least one.
"They’re Telekinetic Masters," Eleanor muttered, her pupils dilating.
She wasn’t afraid of them, not really, but they could stall her just long enough for the Grandmaster behind to catch up. That was the real danger.
Her thoughts raced, analyzing the situation and
"I might have a plan that could kill him."
"Are you sure?" Eleanor asked with a voice of disbelief.
