Chapter 494 - An Unpleasant Encounter

"Of course! I will never lie to you". Replied Clara.

Nathan smiled at what Clara said, he immediately accelerated his movements so that Clara was moaning in pain and feeling pleasure at the same time.

Meanwhile, at the same time. Kevin arrived in front of Maxwell's house. 

After taking random parking, he immediately got off and ran into Maxwell's house.

"Good evening, Mr Kevin!" Greet Rafael with great respect.

"Where is your boss?". Kevin asked expressionlessly.

"It is in...". Rafael couldn't continue when he saw Maxwell coming out of his room in his usual casual clothes.

Kevin furrowed his brows, he didn't see the look on Maxwell's sick face because the strange man grinned when he saw him.

"Kevin ... What are you doing here so late?". Asked Maxwell after standing in front of him.

"I came because I heard that you were sick". Kevin replied.

"Just a little pain. But, now I'm cured".

Maxwell smiled after saying that, Rafael felt confused seeing his boss's condition as if nothing happened to him.

"Is he really healed? Is it possible he has spare energy?". Rafael thought.

"Then, where are you going?". Kevin asked again with a suspicious look, because he knew that Maxwell's appearance meant he was going somewhere.

"Come with me and you will know where I'm going!". After saying that, Maxwell immediately hugged Kevin and dragged him out of the house.

A few moments later.

"Don't you have a brain? You should think before dragging me". Kevin said after they got to the parking lot.

"You better save your energy for anger, because tonight I will take you to a pleasant place". After saying that, Maxwell immediately asked Kevin to get into his car. 

Not wanting to argue with Maxwell, Kevin obediently followed suit.

A few moments later, the car arrived in front of a karaoke place that was reserved for the upper class only.

Kevin and Maxwell got out of the car, just then they could immediately see a beautiful and sexy woman standing on the side of the road.

Even though it was night, the look on the woman's face was very clear. 

Kevin clenched his fists at the girl he hadn't seen in years.

After being humiliated on an engagement day arranged by his grandfather three years ago, Kevin hopes to never see her again.

A moment later, Kevin looked away indifferently, as if he didn't see it.

However, Maxwell already saw the woman so he smiled as he glanced at Kevin. 

After that, Maxwell walked towards the woman without hesitation. Kevin frowned at the sight of Maxwell pulling him over to the woman.

"Claudia ... Long time no see". Said Maxwell with a smile after standing in front of Claudia.

Claudia's gaze slowly fell on Maxwell's face, after which she threw away her little cigarette. She then stood up straight with a smile at Maxwell and Kevin.

"Mr. Maxwell ...". Claudia replied with a smile full of respect.

"It turns out that your memory is still good. Oh yeah, forgive me for not greeting you during the tea party at the mayor's place. Besides, there was no chance to go greet you because I had something important to do. But, now we can meet". After saying that, Maxwell pulled Kevin's hand to get closer to Claudia.

"Oh yeah, do you still remember Kevin? Because he still remembers you". Said Maxwell with a sly smile at Kevin who was glaring at him.

Kevin was a little surprised that Maxwell suddenly pulled him in front of Claudia. Seeing Claudia's face, Kevin felt like digging a big hole to hide because he was too embarrassed. 

"What kind of friend has turned his best friend over to someone he doesn't like. And he knows very well that I really hate Claudia.

Kevin really hopes he won't see Claudia for the rest of his life. 

Maxwell's actions have embarrassed him.

Hearing what Maxwell said, Claudia immediately shifted her gaze to Kevin. After that Claudia lowered her eyes and saw Kevin with a look arrogant. instantly Kevin realized the aura that is being underestimated glance in her eyes.

His hands were back fist forming fists.

"Why is her expression flat? Doesn't she remember me?". Kevin thought confusedly.

There really wasn't any expression on Claudia's face, her eyes were very flat, she acted as if she didn't know Kevin. 

"Mr. Max, I'm sorry that I have to leave immediately because I still have business, I'll go first!".

After saying that, Claudia immediately opened her car door, then bent down to get in.

After that, at high speed, Claudia's car was going very fast.

"The girl is still the same as before, arrogant. Looks like she likes the same sex so she's never interested in you". Maxwell still teases Kevin because he likes to see Kevin angry or upset.

"It's not my business, we better get in or go home because I don't want to stand here long". Said Kevin retorted.

"Okay". Maxwell took Kevin's hand again to come in.

Although Kevin felt uncomfortable, he did not reject Maxwell's treatment of him.

"Every past will never disappear, there will always be a time where it comes to haunt him. But, just let her live on that day, don't bring it back today because it's very tiring ". Maxwell thought.

The next morning. 

Jasmin said goodbye to go first because she had been picked up by her assistant. 

Today she agreed to meet her fans after dozens of times she was asked to attend. She thought it would not be bad if she greeted her loyal fans who had supported her until the end.

"Miss Jasmin .. Miss Jasmin .." exclaimed thousands of fans who have packed the place since morning and they looked enthusiastic to see Jasmin get out of her car. 

Jasmin immediately waved her hand while showing her sweetest smile towards her loyal fans.

After that, Jasmin walked gracefully towards the entrance. She stopped briefly when she was on the first stairs.

"Jasmin ...! ".

Hearing her name being called in that familiar voice, Jasmin turned to face that person. Instantly, she smiled when she saw a tall man with a sweet smile waving his hand among thousands of fans. Jasmin immediately descended the stairs, then ran towards the man.

After that, Jasmin hugged the man tightly.

"Hey .. What's the matter? Why are you suddenly hugging me like this? Can't you see so many pairs of eyes watching us, including reporters". Said the man, releasing her embrace.

"I miss you Max, I want everyone to know that we are close". Jasmin said with a sad expression.

Maxwell smiled, he gently stroked Jasmin's hair. Instantly, Jasmin hugged Maxwell again tightly.

All of her fans immediately applauded. Meanwhile, the reporters don't dare to take the scene because they know who Maxwell is.

It's too much for them to have to deal with someone like the terrible Maxwell. That's why they chose to broadcast something else.

"Jasmin ... Let go, because you have to come in immediately to greet all your fans. Don't hug me because it will only invite new gossip". Maxwell said as he let go of her embrace with a little force.

"People are looking at us". Maxwell whispers again when Jasmin stays in his arms.

"Sorry". Jasmin finally let go of her arms while feeling guilty.

"Do you have time tomorrow? I want to invite you to go?". asks Jasmin, who is eager to spend time alone with Maxwell.

Instantly Maxwell thought for a moment, then nodded quickly because he didn't want to see Jasmin disappointed. 

Last night Kevin had explained all about Jasmin and Daniel, which is why he wanted to make Jasmin happy to forget her pain and sadness.

"I'll pick you up later in the afternoon, how?". Jasmin asked enthusiastically regardless of the many pairs of eyes that saw her.

"Yes". Maxwell could only nod because he had no choice.

"Then, do you want to accompany me to meet my fans?". Asked Jasmin again with anxious hope.

"Actually I want to, but I have to go to the office to solve the problem". Maxwell answered while ruffling Jasmin's hair slowly.

"How about I come to your office after this event is over?".

"No, you can just go home after your event is over so you can rest and make you look fresh when we go out later, how about that?". Said Maxwell who tried to make Jasmin not expect much from her.

Jasmin nodded in understanding, then she said. "Alright, see you later in the afternoon!".

Maxwell smiled briefly then left Jasmin who kept waving until Maxwell was out of sight.

"Miss Jasmin ...". Hearing her assistant's voice, Jasmin did not flinch. She continued to stare straight at the place where Maxwell smiled at her.

"Hey ... Miss Jasmin ...". Her assistant immediately tapped her shoulder to revive her.

Instantly, Jasmin gasped in surprise and stared at her assistant with a shocked expression on her face.

"Why are you patting my shoulder?".. Jasmin asked in surprise.
