Chapter 373 - Guilt

Qiara shuddered in horror at what Aurel said, the term mine made Qiara have to think hard not to step on it so as not to injure her legs and body.

"I will try".

"Good, now focus on your shooting today!".

"Okay". After that Qiara returned to focus on reading the script for today's scene.

Time passed so fast, without feeling that Qiara had finished shooting. She immediately went home using a taxi when she remembered her promise to Zio.

Julian's house.

After traveling quite a distance, Qiara finally arrived home.

"Liu, is Mr. Ju home?". Qiara asked when she couldn't find Julian in her room, she panicked because it was ten at night. 

Too bad, Qiara came home when Zio was asleep so she couldn't meet him and felt guilty for not keeping her promise.

"Mr. Ju came home this afternoon. However, Mr. Ju left again after taking something I did not know". Liu replied kindly.

"Did he say where he was going?". Qiara asked. 

"Mr Ju's expression is very dark, so I don't dare to ask him anything".

"Okay thank you!". After saying that, Qiara returned to her room.

After taking a shower and putting on her clothes, Qiara still couldn't find Julian. She also looked at the clock on the wall, which showed eleven o'clock in the evening.

Unable to calm down, Qiara immediately contacted Julian. 

Not waiting long, Julian picked up his call. 

"Hello dear?". There was a heavy voice from across the phone which made Qiara a little worried. 

"I've come home, why are you not there. Are you overtime?". Qiara asked in a soft voice.

"There is a little problem, if you are sleepy then you can sleep first and don't wait for me!". Replied Julian. 

"Why does your voice sound like you're holding back pain, tell me what's wrong with you!". Qiara could feel that something was wrong with Julian's tone. 

"Honey, I'm going home now!". After saying that, Julian hung up the phone without answering Qiara's question.

Instantly Qiara became even more worried and became anxious. 

"What's wrong with Julian, why does he sound in pain? He also ignored my question, did something happen?". Inner Qiara paced back and forth in the spacious room with an uneasy feeling.

Bored in the room, Qiara came out and took the initiative to wait for Julian in the living room. 

A few moments later.

Julian finally came home at twelve in the evening, after opening the main door, Julian was surprised to see Qiara sitting on the sofa. He thought his wife was asleep but not.

While adjusting his smile, Julian walked over to Qiara who was sitting on the living room sofa, enduring her sleepiness repeatedly.

Hearing the sound of footsteps, Qiara was surprised and immediately turned her head towards the source of the sound.

"Honey, why haven't you slept yet? It's not that you are tired". Julian asked after he sat beside Qiara. 

Before she could answer, Qiara's attention was on Julian's hand. Instantly she grabbed Julian's hand in panic. 

"Tell me what happened?". Qiara asked, looking anxiously at Julian.

Julian's heart felt warm when he saw Qiara grip his hand tightly, after which he said. "It's just a small wound, you don't need to worry. Oh yeah, has Zio been asleep?".

Julian doesn't want to explain the truth because he doesn't want to worry Qiara, especially if Qiara finds out that he has met Virsen. Qiara might blame herself. 

"Are you really okay?". Qiara asked again, who still couldn't believe Julian's words. 

Without answering, Julian pulled Qiara into his embrace, instantly Qiara's heart skipped a beat with high speed. Qiara felt comfortable and safe in Julian's arms. But, she still felt awkward because she had been apart for too long. 

"Two more days is your birthday with Zio, you guys were born on the same day and month. What do you want, then I will grant it". Julian asked softly after releasing his hug.

Hearing Julian's question, Qiara immediately looked at Julian's face with a complicated expression. 

"Birthday? I never celebrate because I don't like it?".

"Really? But, me and Zio always celebrate your birthday every year. Therefore this time I ask you because in previous years I could not ask". Said Julian.

Qiara hugged Julian while crying because what Julian said was piercing in her heart, she felt she did not deserve many things from Julian and Zio that she had left behind.

"Have I really hurt you and Zio? Have I been mean to you?".

Julian was silent to hear Qiara's questions accompanied by heartbreaking sobs.

"Don't cry, we never hated you. Besides, we always miss you. That's why we always celebrate your birthday". Julian said as he wiped Qiara's tears after that he kissed Qiara's forehead.

"Thank you!". Qiara lowered her head because she was not ashamed to show her face.

Julian smiled at the sad face of his fierce and stubborn wife, the most adorable side for Julian was when Qiara cried and nagged at him.

"Alright, let's sleep in Zio's room. Looks like it will be more exciting!". Julian said while holding Qiara's hand.

Qiara immediately nodded and followed her husband to Zio's room.

The three of them went back to sleep together soundly and comfortably.

The next morning.

After making sure Julian and Zio went to work and school, Qiara immediately returned to her room.

Just then, her cell phone rang. Instantly she picked it up because it was from Aurel who was her manager.

"Hello". Qiara said first after she shifted the green icon on her cellphone. 

"Liana, today we are going to Mr Sandy and Helena's wedding. So, you have to come because this is an order. But, I can't pick you up, so you go alone, right?". Aurel said from across the phone. 

Qiara sighed because she didn't want to go to her stepsister's wedding. But, she couldn't possibly refuse Aurel's orders.

"All right, I will come!".

"Good, then I'll close now!".

After talking with Aurel, Qiara immediately got ready. 

However, Qiara forgot to tell Julian about her coming to the party because she was in a hurry to catch up with Aurel.
