Legend of Dragon Son-in-law

Chapter 2636: Going Home

Chapter 2636: Going Home

As soon as Julius Reed finished speaking. The halos that had been binding Jessica and the Nine Nether True Lord all faded away.

The most obvious feature of the post–martial arts era is all that flashy crap.

Flashy crap has its perks, namely that it’s tailor‑made to throw people off!

The more dazzling something is, the harder it is to see how deep it runs.

But the Ancient Martial Path is simple and pure.

The intent is crystal clear!

From the moment that golden light was cast, Julius Reed already knew its purpose was to freeze people in place.

Since he knew the goal, the way to break it was that much simpler.

Originally, this was a technique meant to immobilize everyone.

But now there’d been an accident—Julius Reed hadn’t been frozen.

Since he wasn’t locked down, he could help the others from the outside and smash this restraint.

"Fuck your mom!"

Smack!

The very instant the Nine Nether True Lord could move his body, he stepped forward and slapped the Blood Soul Great Emperor right across the face!

"I’ve put up with you for way too long! Back then I couldn’t beat you so I let it slide, but looking at you now, I’d be a bastard if I didn’t take good care of you!"

Smack, smack!

He swung left and right, slapping the Blood Soul Great Emperor’s face over and over!

Splurt!

The Blood Soul Great Emperor directly turned into a puddle of blood and flowed to None King’s back.

"You dog of a man!" Jessica also let out a cold laugh. "I spared you once back then—consider that me honoring what little was left of our marriage!"

She hadn’t thought the Blood Soul Great Emperor would act so heartlessly!

Sure enough, blood is cold!

Everything is cold!

"What bullshit ’Blood Soul Great Emperor’? Look at you—soft and runny like a baby’s shit! You call that a man?"

Jessica showed not the slightest stinginess with her "praise" for the Blood Soul Great Emperor.

She even started politely greeting his whole family one by one.

The Blood Soul Great Emperor’s whole body trembled, but now that he couldn’t beat Jessica and the Nine Nether True Lord, he could only pin his hopes on None King.

"None King, can you fucking do it or not! A堂堂 Ancient martial artist, and it’s this hard for you to deal with a few mortals?"

The Blood Soul Great Emperor urged him nonstop.

He couldn’t take it anymore!

No man can endure being humiliated like this.

And not just once, but over and over again!

"Don’t rush me." None King knew that if he struck rashly now, he’d only make it easier to reveal flaws. "If I want to kill them, it’s not that big a problem."

"If your skills were as hard as your mouth, that’d be great." Julius Reed stuck up his thumb and slowly turned it downward.

"Trash!"

He spat the word out in a tone dripping with contempt.

"You’re provoking me!" None King finally couldn’t hold it in anymore. He’d never figured out why this brat in front of him was this strong.

Now he knew—it was because the kid carried the aura of Emperor Azure River on him.

"Today, I’m killing these people! And I’m still taking your sword!"

None King dropped into a horse stance and thrust both hands forward!

Boom!

True Qi condensed out of thin air into a massive beast!

It was a leopard!

The instant the leopard appeared, it charged at Julius Reed at insane speed!

Julius Reed swung his sword with a lift of his hand!

The Sword Qi cleaved the leopard clean in half!

But after being cut, the leopard actually came at Julius Reed from two directions.

"Hahaha! This move is tailor‑made for brainless brawlers!" None King burst out laughing at the sight. "The more you hit it, the more there’ll be! In the end, you either die from exhaustion or die under your own blade, cut by cut."

Julius Reed swung another horizontal slash.

Sure enough, the leopard split into four.

"Haha, you’re way too full of yourself!"

The more None King thought about it, the more pleased he felt.

He was finally going to kill the bastard who’d been humiliating him again and again.

"But you forgot—of all the techniques under heaven, only speed cannot be broken!"

Julius Reed drew both swords and swung them in a blur.

The leopards were chopped into even smaller pieces before they could fully form!

Using that gap, he leapt forward, twin swords stabbing straight at None King!

"Withdraw!"

None King was being extremely cautious now. He clearly believed he had the ability to trap Julius Reed.

But at this critical moment, he still hesitated.

He didn’t dare gamble, didn’t dare believe!

Even though those splitting leopards could have passed straight through Julius Reed’s body and killed him.

The worst‑case scenario would still have been crippling him.

As long as Julius Reed died, None King wouldn’t be in any danger.

But None King was terrified!

If he slipped up, those two swords could take his head clean off!

In the end, None King pulled back that Spiritual Power, stacking it in front of himself and forming a giant shield!

Boom!

Boom!

Both swords slammed into it, shattering the shield of Spiritual Power on the spot.

None King staggered back several steps, unwillingness burning in his eyes!

The best chance!

From the moment they met until now, that just now had been the best chance!

It was obvious this trump card had caught Julius Reed completely off guard!

But None King was just a Martial Artist!

His opponent, however, was a man with nothing to lose!

He didn’t dare to bet his life.

He could only watch helplessly as the opportunity slipped away.

"Who the hell are you!" None King pointed at Julius Reed. "You psycho! Blood Soul, I’m not fighting a lunatic!"

With that, he yanked the Blood Soul Great Emperor and bolted backward!

Thud!

The Blood Soul Great Emperor went down hard yet again.

No idea who had just smacked him in the back.

"Quella Radcliffe?"

Julius Reed was genuinely surprised.

He saw Quella Radcliffe walk out and slap the Blood Soul Great Emperor flat onto the ground.

"And who the hell are you?" None King looked at Quella Radcliffe, feeling completely thrown off.

Wasn’t he supposed to be invincible in this world?

How did it turn out like this!

Where the hell were all these people coming from?

The confidence he’d had at the start slowly faded.

All that was left now was confusion.

"Take me away! Get me out of here first!" the Blood Soul Great Emperor cried out in agony.

"Sorry, you’re too late." Quella Radcliffe took one step forward, planted her foot on the Blood Soul Great Emperor’s face, and sneered. "With just you, you think you deserve to call yourself an emperor?"

"Damn you! Who are you!"

The Blood Soul Great Emperor exploded in rage!

He unleashed the strongest power in his body, and through the blood mist erupting from him, he shot directly onto None King.

Whoosh!

None King twisted his body and vanished.

At Quella Radcliffe’s feet, only a puddle of blood remained.

"He ran?" Quella Radcliffe chuckled, then raised her head and looked at Julius Reed. "You were looking for me?"

"What do you think?" Seeing Quella Radcliffe didn’t put Julius Reed at ease.

He just felt there was something very off about this woman in front of him.

A faint trace of weirdness.

"Go on, say it. I really want to hear." Quella Radcliffe smiled and shot the question back.

That expression made Julius Reed extremely uncomfortable.

He didn’t answer. Instead, he shook his head. "I want to hear you say whether you’re Quella Radcliffe or not."

"Of course I’m Quella Radcliffe." Quella Radcliffe lifted her chin, the corner of her mouth curling slightly. "Tell me, if I tried to kill you right now, would you fight back?"

"You can’t kill me." Julius Reed smiled, then suddenly appeared right in front of Quella Radcliffe.

Smack!

Their two hands collided!

Both of them stepped back several paces.

"Don’t test me." Quella Radcliffe narrowed her eyes, but quickly put her smile back on. "If you want to know something, just ask."

"Come with me. Come home with me."

Julius Reed only said seven words.

"Home?" Quella Radcliffe bit her lip. "Reason?"
