Chapter 345 Christmas
Chapter 345 Christmas
Chapter 345 Christmas
December 25, 2012, Christmas Day.
For the Western world, it was a very pleasant day; at least at Avengers Tower, Christmas hadn't been tainted by consumerism. The proof was that Tony Stark ordered a huge amount of Domino's and Burger King for Christmas. He then spent the entire afternoon eating and drinking, and casually watching a movie.
The Avengers' first Christmas party ended rather boringly, with everyone staying on the top floor of Avengers Tower, enjoying a day without supervillains.
"I don't really understand, Tony. You're a billionaire, you own Stark Towers in seventeen cities across the country, you print your name on every single T-shirt, and then... why would you eat Burger King on Christmas?"
"Actually, he doesn't just eat Burger King on Christmas."
Pepper Potts, who hadn't been to Avengers Tower much since the Battle of New York, explained the situation to Janet: "He always likes to eat Burger King."
"When you have the world's most convenient burger to eat, trust me, Burger King is a good choice." Tony ate his cheeseburger without a care in the world; it was what he ate back in Afghanistan. "And if you want to eat something after saving the world, trust me, Janet, Burger King is a good choice. Look how happy Hulk is eating it."
The little bumblebee looked at Hulk, who was devouring hamburgers, and thought that he was probably happy no matter what he ate.
"So, Saul, what about your nurse girlfriend?"
Tony, sprawled on the sofa, looked at Saul, who had one hand propped against the glass wall and the other holding a half-eaten double beef burger. Saul chewed on the burger as he said, "She said most of the hospital staff are off for Christmas, so she has to stay there and keep watch."
"She's such a nice person."
Hank sighed, then suddenly realized, "I know T'Challa won't be here for a while, but what about Captain America and Parker?"
Tony crumpled the Burger King wrapper into a ball and threw it in the trash can.
"They...are outside."
In New York City, Spider-Man was flying through the skies as usual. Christmas had arrived, and Gwen and Sheriff George would be spending the holiday at Parker's house as always, with gifts prepared by both families displayed under the Christmas tree.
So, what gift did you prepare for her?
"It's hard to say, preparing any gift seems like a very troublesome thing."
The real problem is that you've got too many girls involved. It would be better if you only liked one or were more aloof, but unfortunately, you can't.
Venom, as always, watched the drama unfold. Of course, he was easily satisfied; all he needed was enough Christmas chocolate to shut up. So, Venom wouldn't shut up until Peter Parker maxed out Iron Man's credit card.
Peter chose to ignore him.
The team leader visited several orphanages to deliver Christmas presents. His Harley-Davidson motorcycle was loaded with toys and food, and he delivered them to each orphanage one by one. It was easy to find out which orphanages were most in need of funding.
Then, the captain will go to the hospital to visit the children with cancer who cannot afford chemotherapy. The captain will donate all of his Avengers merchandise earnings to the children financially. He will then visit the children to encourage them to persevere through the pain of chemotherapy.
You can go too.
"Yes, I will go, but for now, I'm just..."
On the top floor of the Empire State Building, Peter landed in his favorite spot, took a deep breath, and looked out over the city. This had become his new, most frequent place to sit, gazing at New York City.
It seemed that even God was on our side, as a heavy snowfall blanketed New York City on Christmas Day, turning the entire city into a pristine white wonderland.
He just wanted to stay here for a while.
Peter had just sat down when he noticed something nearby. Curious, he walked over and found a Christmas gift box placed in this almost deserted spot. He paused for a moment, then laughed.
"It must be Cindy. She sensed that I often sit here and enjoy the view, so she put it here."
Perhaps you could invite her to sit here with you next time.
Peter remained silent, but opened the Christmas gift Cindy had sent. There was nothing particularly valuable inside the box; in fact, the contents were somewhat unexpected. Inside was a family photo of the Mu En family, along with their blessings and thanks for Peter's help that day.
This is truly a strange gift.
"Really? I think it's fine." Peter said, flipping over the Mu En family photo and finding a sentence Cindy had written on the back.
No one will forget Spider-Man's help; may you hear all the thanks.
Peter smiled, put away the photos and thank-you note, sat down and looked at the New York scenery, then saw something dart below, but his spider-sense didn't go off, so it wasn't an enemy.
A pair of hands covered his eyes.
"It seems you really like this place; I often see you sitting here."
"If you want to play a game of guessing who I am, Felicia-senpai, your voice is so distinctive."
"So let's change the game, like, guess what gift I gave you?"
Felicia released her hand and handed the Christmas present to Peter. Peter looked at Felicia with slight surprise, only to be met with her question: "Why are you looking at me like that? Are you feeling bad for not getting me a Christmas present?"
"No, I just didn't expect you to..."
Felicia left, as if she were just passing by, or perhaps she didn't want to see Peter unwrap the gift. Peter paused for a moment, then opened Felicia's gift box. It turned out to be an unexpected gift as well.
He saw a pure black Spider-Man suit, almost identical in style to the Symbiote suit, but Felicia made him a new one.
"You can tell she really likes this outfit."
venom:……
Peter simply put both gifts away and then made a phone call to the captain.
"Hey, Spider-Man? I'm in the hospital, are you coming now?"
"Yes, I spaced out for a bit, sorry, Captain." Peter composed himself and said, "Since there's still some time before evening, I'll head over now."
"The children will be very happy."
"Me too, Captain."
I'll skip the part about P.E. and Gwen celebrating Christmas because I can't write it.
These past few chapters have been rather bland; hopefully, the new storyline starting tomorrow will be better.
Perhaps the Avengers would wish every day were as ordinary as this Christmas.
