I Just Want to Farm, But My Beasts Keep Evolving!!

Chapter 144: Who Did That?!

Chapter 144: Who Did That?!

"Woolie!!"

When Raiden woke up the next time, he found himself resting back in his bed. He looked at the family around him and wasn’t able to feel at peace.

"Woolie, where are you?!"

He tried to stand up from the bed, starting to look around for him, only to be interrupted by an annoyed voice.

"Woolie Woo..." What do you want in the middle of the night, human??

Hearing the familiar voice, Raiden swiftly turned his head around to find Woolie resting next to his bed, with Neva sleeping on top of his fur.

"Woolie, you are okay!! That’s so great!!!" Raiden ignored everything and hugged the little sheep, feeling relieved from the bottom of his heart.

"Sha Sha Sha!!" ( 。 •̀ ᴖ •́ 。)💢

Neva, who was thrown off Woolie when Raiden picked up Woolie, complained with grievances in her heart.

But Raiden didn’t care about any of that as he kept laughing and crying while hugging Woolie.

After 15 minutes, Raiden let go of the sheep and looked him over once again, checking for any injuries or any other issues.

Woolie, who had his sleep interrupted by it, finally had enough and snapped.

"Woolie!!"

Crackle!!

Raiden, who was hit by a thunderbolt once again, fell back down on the bed with a grin on his face.

"Yep, that is the feeling. I am finally glad you are back to yourself again, buddy."

After that initial panic, his adrenaline started to wear off, and weakness started to set in. That’s when Raiden felt the true aftereffects of what he had done before.

There was an intense tearing pain in his chest, like someone had put some invisible hands inside his body and they were constantly tearing it apart with knives. This did not feel like a physical pain, but it was deeper, like the soul itself had been torn apart.

He remembered his soul getting torn apart by that tornado yesterday. He didn’t feel much at that time, but right now he wished he could have found another way to help Woolie from afar.

"Damnit, it hurts so much." He muttered a curse under his breath before eventually succumbing to the pain and the stress and the weakness, falling back to sleep once again.

Seeing this, Woolie and Neva didn’t say anything. Both of them just cuddled closer to Raiden’s sleeping body before falling asleep on top of him, waiting for the time he would wake up once again.

--------------------------------

Raiden instantly felt much better when he woke up the next time, with more than half of the pain and weakness gone. He looked outside the window of his home to find that the sun had risen from the window.

He tried to sit up, but found himself weighed down by two heavy things on both sides. Realising what was, he put his hands on both of their heads, brushing them softly, lying there in peace for a little while longer.

Boom!!

Raiden jumped up from the bed from the sudden explosion, with Woolie and Neva also up, reacting instantly. Their bodies cracking with thunder and light, respectively.

"Sha Sha??" Where is the enemy?!

"Woolie!!" Who dared to attack us?!

Both of them looked around vigilantly, trying to find their attacker.

"The noise came from downstairs!! Let’s go!!!"

Raiden wasted no time in running down the stairs with both of the Terrans after him. He thought the assassins had finally attacked his home. He rushed to the kitchen, ready to confront the attackers, only to stop in his tracks at the sight ahead.

The new modular kitchen Raiden had gotten Maple to install during their pre-furnishing was gone, completely blown apart by an unknown blast. The stove was gone. The oven was gone. All the cupboards were smashed, and most importantly, the right side of the wall of the house was completely blown apart, giving Raiden a clear view of the farm in the distance.

And standing in front of the broken wall was a girl with silver hair holding what seemed like a spatula in her hands. She had a somewhat frightened, ashamed, and sheepish expression on her face.

She was protected by a transparent red-coloured blood dome with a Ruby coiled around her neck.

Raiden’s mouth twitched as he looked at the destruction before looking at Sylvia, who turned her head downwards before looking at the destruction once again

"Oh dearest sister of mine~ What. Happened. Here??"

Sylvia instantly had an expression of panic on her face as she waved both of her hands frantically.

"It’s not my fault!! I was just trying to cook breakfast for you since you seemed so tired, and then I started making honey toast and-and....I...somehow one thing led to another and...It’s not my fault, Raiden!! You must believe me!!" Sylvia looked ready to cry on the spot as she explained her grievances, feeling the injustice in her heart.

"You tried to cook a honey toast and you somehow you blew up half the house?! ARE YOU KIDDING ME?!!" Raiden roared in anger, his chest heaving up and down.

How in the world did this even happen?! He swore her cooking seemed to be getting more and more dangerous by the day. Last time, she only blew up a pressure cooker. This time, she blew up the wall of the kitchen itself!!!

"I am sorry..." Tears started dripping down Sylvia’s face, and she apologised in a meek voice.

But Raiden was having none of it.

"I warned you not to go into the kitchen, didn’t I?? If you want to eat something, order it online or tell me, but never ever cook it yourself. I said that, didn’t I?" Raiden swiftly pinched her cheek and pulled it a little.

"Ouch, ouch ouch!! I am really sorry, big brother. I don’t know how it happened either. I was just trying to do something nice for you!!" Sylvia yelped in pain, genuinely feeling hurt. She had no idea how her cooking became so destructive either.

Looking at her tearful eyes and feeling her sincere emotions, Raiden heaved a sigh of resignation before patting her head.

"I really, really appreciate your sentiment, okay? You are a great little sister. Just...try not to cook something next time. Now go and take care of yourself. Also, order some food for both of us. I’ll see what I can about this."

Hearing this, Sylvia sneakily peeked at his face, feeling even more guilty.

"Are you sure you are not mad??"

"Not really. I anticipated this day would come sooner or later. Hell, I am looking forward to that day. You blow up the whole house, not just the kitchen itself." Raiden joked with amusement in his voice.

"You are right... Hey! What do you mean, ’blow up the whole house’?! It was an accident, okay?! An accident!!" Sylvia instantly forgot her sadness, chasing after Raiden in anger, who laughed at this.

"Alright, alright. Please go and order something for me, okay? I am starving. Let me see what I can do about this."

After sending her along the way, Raiden looked at the destruction and felt his heart hurt once again. This was going to cost a lot of money. He pulled out his new phone before quickly dialling a number.

"Hello, Maple?? Good morning, it’s Raiden!! Yes, yes, I needed your little help. You see..."
