Chapter 689: Void Summon Candidates [Part 1]
Northern laid on the throne seat, crossing his legs on one armrest and leaning his head on the other. His eyes closed, subtly seeking the depth of rest, but his mind was awake as the
twilight, rummaging through a couple of things.
He still could not forgo the fact that he gained two items from being in the dungeon, and those too, a Legendary grade and a Heroic grade.
It couldn't be by coincidence.
First of all—and he had been wondering since he entered the dungeon-would Ul allow such a phenomenon as the dungeon to be?
'No. No way that bitch would.'
Northern had been able to see a glimpse of Ul's personality from how he was dealt with and through Terence.
Ul didn't seem like the kind to let anomalies pass by. If she couldn't erase it, she would undoubtedly restrain it in every way she could, such as in his case.
He was convinced that the reason he could not gain items from his kills was because Ul wanted to restrict his ways of growth in all the ways she could.
Unfortunately for her, he didn't operate on the principles of soul essence and did not even need a soul core to get stronger; hence, her options were limited to that one restriction she placed on him.
However... here in the dungeon, that one restriction was not working.
It had to mean one thing.
Northern slowly opened his eyes, their azure hue faintly glowing as his thoughts got clearer.
Of course, there was no way they would build such an ominous thing under Ul's nose and she would let it be. That means she either did not know about its existence, or she knew and let it be nonetheless.
Northern did not think a supposed guardian of a world would do the latter except if it
benefited her will. But the question in that regard would be, what is that regard and how does this benefit it?
That he had no answer to, and it seemed even very difficult to answer. The other thing, however, that one leaned on the easier side.
Somehow, somehow, Milhwa had managed to discover a way to hide this from Ul.
Now, that seemed like a more plausible notion. However, the question of how still existed.
Northern narrowed his eyes. For some reason, his mind suddenly went to the sea of crimson clouds and what he had seen.
He straightened his back a little bit and looked forward.
"I should take a look at the five that are ready to become a Void summon and get it over with once. After that, I'll go to my room, sleep, shower, and step out."
Northern nodded subtly and summoned the eligible monsters.
In front of the bluish-black flames, five silhouettes appeared, their forms almost unstable, as
though Black Flames were molded into forms.
Northern took a look at the first candidate.

[Do you want to grant this Spectra the permission to become a Void summon?]
Northern sighed, the response tinged at the tip of his tongue but for some reason was quite
heavy. He wondered what the changes would be...
He was very anticipative. After a few seconds, he eventually answered.
"Yes."
