Chapter 1434: House Maids (Part-2)

In Adhania, the prevalent culture was that children of mistresses could almost never replace that of main wives.

Even if the main wife was unable to bear children, it was more socially acceptable for her to adopt a child of one of her husband’s mistresses than for a husband to let one of his concubines take his wife’s place.

Hence although the four were not thrilled over their husband’s womanizing ways, the hope was that by letting Alexander fraternize with only the maids, they could at least contain his desires, preventing him from looking at the many much more powerful noble women around him.

The four far more preferred for Alexander to favor one of these maids rather than a noble lady because he could make the former only his concubines and without any powerful mother family, any children born would be too low to be of anything more than a steward or butler in life.

Whereas a child from even Alexander’s least favored mistress, Princess Camelia would be entitled to a lot more power courtesy of her family, possibly becoming a high ranking military officer or administrator.

Given this, it was not a hard choice for the four to make.

While facing such a united front, Alexander also decided to relent, finding it not worth fighting over.

Especially as none of them was outright trying to stop him, only subtly influence his decision using honeypots. He had no problem with that.

As for the maids in question being employed as the honeypots, well, let it be clear there was no sort of compulsion on any of them.

There was no need to.

Every one of them was already dying to get into Alexander’s pants no matter the method, because they knew this was their best ticket to the high life. Becoming his mistress was the dream and they understood it would be utterly foolish for them to decline this chance.

And even if they could not reach that coverted place, even if they could only get a bit closer, it would still be enough for them and their family to utterly transform their lives.

Because no matter the problem they might face- be it hardship in money, some kind of deadly sickness, legal or security issues, or even some job opportunities for the maid’s family members, all it would take was a single glance from Alexander to solve, or at least simplify them.

Hence all the maids tried their hardest to leave an impression on Alexander, no matter how small or insignificant, and there was no maid so proud that she would be willing to let go of such generous extraneous perks.

Many times even the families of the maids would urge their daughter to go and serve the lord in that way whenever possible, because as already said, her success meant success for their all fourteen generations.

Alexander even knew that there were lots of shady deals going on with his own maids over who got to do which task for him- such as waking him up, serving him on the dinning table, or even washing his clothes and taking the bath and washing water up to his room.

In this, many times even the girl’s family got involved in this, giving them money to bribe the kitchen staff or the other poorer maids to let her get the more lucrative tasks such as where Alexander might be alone or be in a place more likely to notice her.

Such as now, where this new, baby faced got the great honor of serving lunch for not only Alexander, but also two regal queens.

An inexperienced, green girl like her should have never been able to get this chance no matter how qualified she was, she was too new and here were many more maids waiting far longer in line.

However, her father had spent quite a large amount of money and a whole lot of oiling to create this small chance for her.

Alexander first gave a thin, helpless smile at the extremely complex problem, before quickly coming back to the present and turning to look at the half crying girl, consoled her with a small chuckle,

"Haha, it’s okay, it’s okay no problem. Today is especially hot... that’s probably why the ice cream did not set. Get me some cut strawberries instead."

Alexander’s casual wave of the hand finally stopped the girl from breaking down, and receiving the order, quickly raised her rosy, flushed face to give a great, relieved smile,

"Thank you, my lord! Aali promises to always check for the ice cream next time... no matter what the testers say," before she ran to fetch the fruits.

’So her name is Aali,’ While the clever way this girl introduced herself did not escape Alexander, and caused him to slightly chuckle.

However, despite the hurried and crude method, he did find that it worked, as Alexander found the face getting embedded into his memory, especially that big, happy grin. Although the girl was only modestly pretty, her smile did seem to attract Alexander.

Thus when she quickly served him a bunch of washed strawberries on a silver plate, he took a second, serious look at her, before suddenly realizing something,

’Ahh... this girl just sucked me off yesterday morning in bed... yet I did not even know her name!’

Alexander suddenly did not know whether to feel proud about the fact he had so much ’rizz’ that he did not need to care about even such a thing, or feel ashamed about the degenerate state of his house.

’No! It’s the latter! It’s definitely the latter!’ Alexander came to the conclusion, then noting to himself,

’I need to get these maids under control, especially given how some of them act around me....constantly bending over to show her slight cleavage or emphasize their butt. And the way they look at me... If I told them to get naked, I bet half would do it on the spot.’

Being the protective father, Alexander naturally wanted to shield his kids, but problem was, he was too soft on the maids, while they were supported by his wives.
