Chapter 121 Wives
Chapter 121 Wives
The years have been kind to me and my family, as all of us have grown so much and in so many ways since our family came together. Perhaps I had grown the least. Sure, I was bigger and stronger, but I had changed the least out of the group. I constantly strived to make changes in my field, push in many directions while other farmers stuck to one, and it allowed me to grow my level at an unprecedented rate. Perhaps only the son of a king who was carried through dungeons could have kept up with my blistering leveling speed.Perhaps the one who grew the most was Tems. All of my women had softened from motherhood, their beauty growing every single year instead of diminishing, and the hard features Tems had before became incredibly alluring once they softened. She was always scrawny, but now, after multiple children, she carried herself in a motherly way. Kobolds grew their entire lives, and with the increase in stats, she grew over six inches in height while her body thickened with curves from motherhood.
Growing out of most of her peculiarities as her intelligence improved. She often filled in for my other wives when they were busy. She was also now the vice leader of the local thieves guild, often thwarting any plans against our family before they even started. The only reason she wasn’t the leader was how much time the role took.
Silk was another that didn’t change much. She was always beautiful; her breasts might have gone up a size from her multiple pregnancies, but it was hard to tell, as it had happened so slowly. She took the vice captain position in the city guard, once again because of the time sink that being captain would be, as Marcus still held the captain position. If we were to dungeon dive as a team, she often took the leadership role and wore it like a second skin.
Cherry was always beautiful, but she took to motherhood like a duck to water. Elves had a much harder time having children, and while she was a half-elf, she had already given birth to multiple children. When it came to our family, she was the matriarch, the one who took care of the children when all the rest of us did our own thing. She was the reason why most of my wives could still live their lives and level their classes while the size of our family increased every year.
Sarah had changed physically, her large breasts seeming to expand even more every year, but she had stayed perhaps even more true to herself than I. She was always a horny bisexual, and that hadn’t changed at all. Most of the time when I hadn’t slept with one of my wives in a while, Sarah was the one bringing them to my bedroom, either feeding them to me or joining in when she got the chance.
Leaf was incredibly happy with how life turned out. She assumed she’d die alone; she now had a huge family and children of her own. She had sworn to protect Berry, but at the same time, she yearned for adventure, and the best place for her to get it when she couldn’t leave the city was from books. Now, the city had one of the largest libraries in the entire kingdom; many books that didn’t exist anywhere else and were solely unique were in our library. And she loved it.
Delilah was a respected blacksmith; not just that, she was the most respected blacksmith in the country. Only a handful of mountain dwarves can keep up with her in terms of craftsmanship, but they were centuries old at their craft. In just five years, she would be the undisputed best blacksmith in the country, and in ten, she would be the best on the entire continent.
Olivia had become the shortest(besides Millicent) of my wives. Still a tomboy, but she had a womanly side to her now. Like previously said, all of them had grown in motherly directions. She had helped design and build most of the new city, and over a quarter of the buildings had her maker's mark on them. She had become the leader of the craftsman guild and designed many of the safe zones that I had created.
Sophia… Was Sophia. She fit in more as an unstable aunt than a mother. Sure, she had children, but many of her own children would go to one of my other wives if they had a problem. She was a paladin, with plenty of strength and power in her body, and helped heal… But when compared to what my other wives accomplished, she definitely came up short. She often just hung around, relaxing and waiting for the next dungeon dive from the rest of our family.
Roka was Mom Number Two. She still ran the inn, but it had grown dramatically, now a four-story building that also worked as a pseudo-adventurers guild meet-up when the real adventurers guild was overpacked. She had started another four businesses, and all of them were thriving, even without much of her own input. When she wasn’t busy, she was at home taking care of the children and giving Cherry a break.
Millicent, just like my other wives with profession-type classes, had grown dramatically. Vice leader of the alchemists' guild, owner of her own alchemists' shop, and inventor of over half a dozen specialty potions as we began buying more exotic herbs to grow. The only thing that really changed was her interest in Mara. Millicent really wanted dragon parts, and some of those could be taken from a living dragon.
Cynthia was very young when she became my wife, which meant she had changed dramatically from her previous appearance. The thin, frail girl had grown into a voluptuous, curvy woman. A woman who handled running a city, as that was technically the job the king gave me. Thankfully, she had plenty of help; Berry and a few of the previous housewives made wonderful assistants for her.
Mara was the newest addition to our family, and she was a very welcome addition. It’s hard to see a dragon change, and she could always alter her appearance, but that steadfastness was exactly what our family needed. She was pregnant and rich enough to sit around like Sophia, but no one would ever say that the two were the same.
The first few years, the girls all made a contest of who could have the most children. Which quickly changed to who, besides Tems, could have the most children. It meant our family was, by and large, one of the biggest in the country. The reason they removed Tems from the competition was for the expected reason. She was too good at having babies.
She had, on average, four children a year, tapering down only now, after years of going from one pregnancy to the next. She had thirty-four children on her own; I had over a hundred kids between all my wives, and that number would only keep going up. Mara warned me that the skill of giving my children a portion of their parents' stats would eventually kill me, but I didn’t care.
Until then, I’d keep going. I would make my family as strong as they could, letting them rely on my stat boost for as long as they could to make the family last throughout the decades. It was already too late now anyway; it would have been by the time I met Mara, which was why I hadn’t stopped having more children and instead focused on the time I had left before the skill killed me.
I had already made a place for my family, left behind a legacy that not many could match, but I felt that something else would happen soon. The same wariness I had right before the dungeon went berserk, I felt it again. I just hoped it happened before my death, one last chance to leave the world a better place for my children than the one I was born into.
