Chapter 46 - 46: Little Boss High Priority Mission Rewards
Chapter 46 - 46: Little Boss High Priority Mission Rewards
[Notice: Congratulations, you've completed your second high-priority mission!
[Mission Briefing: A true leader doesn't have to personally take action, especially when the arena is in the shadowy corners. Although your approach was unorthodox, your outside the box thinking allowed you to complete the mission in record time, exceeding the system's expectations!
[Mission Rating: Excellent.
[Reward 1: 50 gems.
[Reward 2: 1x Game Voucher.
[Reward 3: 10,000 Achievement Points.
[Reward 4: Book of Revelations - Divination Chapter.]
…
As expected, the rewards were far less grand than the first high-priority mission completed.
Well, the divination chapter was something new, but Hiro wasn't in a hurry to figure it out.
At the moment, he had 85 gems and over 20,000 achievement points, which was a great haul in and of itself.
It seems that the standard reward is gems, points, and a game voucher. Hiro thought to himself and asked, "Are all games capped to the equivalent of Tier-4 power level?"
[Notice: Games purchased through achievement points aren't restricted to this power level.]
Hiro asked another question, "What determines the level of restriction?"
[Notice: Your native world doesn't tolerate—or rather can't accommodate power levels above the stipulated limit.]
In other words, the limit of power in this world was the lowest rank of Tier-4.
Despite the nourishment from other dimensions for thousands of years, this limit seemed to be the peak of this world.
Was this the main drive behind exploring the New World? Are the Big Three
The hall immediately exploded with shouting and raised hands.
…
In the study, Hiro smiled brilliantly. His phone rang and he answered.
"Haha, you've really surprised me, Mr. Sciatis," Hiro heard the Handler talking on the other side.
This man was one of the few who knew of Hiro's relationship with the Sciatis Holdings company.
The security and privacy regulations made sure that as little information as possible trickled from the Handler to the outside world, and COC was no exception.
They only knew that he was responsible for "Company X" but had no access to the information of his client.
Well, the general manager of the Nexus Branch had access to this information, but such a little company won't draw his attention yet.
He responded faintly, "It's just luck."
Suddenly, Hiro got an idea on where to spend some of his points. At the moment, Arabella had the {Business Acumen III} skill, which cost him 800 points back then.
He could further upgrade it now to increase Arabella's abilities on the negotiation table.
At the moment, this level of business skill isn't sufficient to grant her a country-wide perspective on business.
At best, level 3 skill was comparable to small business on a city or a county scale, which was insufficient to handle the upcoming negotiations with business tycoons and behemoths.
Without hesitation, Hiro stated spending to upgrade.
1,600 points…
3,200 points…
6,400 points…
…
Arabella's skill was successfully upgraded from {Business Acumen III} to {Business Acumen VI}, costing a total amount of 11,200 points.
Almost half of his achievement points were gone just like that, but Hiro didn't regret it.
Arabella's current business acumen is sufficient for her to go toe-to-toe with international entrepreneurs on equal footing, and he could rest at ease with leaving his budding business empire in her hands.
Hiro had 10,320 achievement points left, and he decided not to touch these points until he returned from the Odin family's expedition.
Hiro didn't know that Arabella had blanked out for about five minutes, almost causing a catastrophe in the conference hall.
Luckily, it was the open discussion segment and everyone was busy discussing in hushed voices, not paying attention to Arabella on the podium.
"What are your plans for the future of your company, Mr. Sciatis? Do you wish to hire a business consultant from our firm?" The Handler asked politely.
Hiro remembered that he was on a call with someone. He gathered his thoughts, went silent for a moment, then shook his head.
"No need, I'm only interested in the banking services of the COC, and I don't wish to get your organization entangled with my business in the future."
If he hired their business consultant, they would get access to sensitive information of his company through god knows how many loopholes.
At the moment, they're only permitted to keep track of his cash flow and monetary transactions—nothing more and nothing less.
Furthermore, Hiro was confident that with Arabella's current abilities, she was equal if not more qualified than the COC's top business consultants in the Nexus Branch.
Like the power tiers, the levels of professionalism in the system are separate into I, II, III, IV, V, VI, VII, VIII, and IX; from level 1 to level 9.
On the other end of the call, the Handler went silent for a moment before laughing lightly.
If it was someone else, they might have tried to persuade Hiro not to make a clear line between himself and the COC, but this Handler was a little weird.
He didn't try to convince Hiro, not even half heartedly, as he immediately complimented Hiro for his foresight.
"Your company enjoys great future prospects, so your choice is the correct one… Hmm, I'll help you on my end and close all the loose ends. This way, no one will hound you from this side for your company's shares in the future.
"And… good luck, Mr. Sciatis."
Beep! Beep! Beep!
The Handler hung up.
…
Hiro looked at his phone, speechless. Shaking his head with a smile, he muttered under his breath, "This Handler is really something."
As Hiro lamented comically, he heard Ei's voice.
"Master, you've received a reply from Mr. Odin on your private thread. The expedition team has been formed, preparing for departure after midnight."
Hiro blinked. Their team couldn't have been on standby just waiting for me, right? Well, it makes sense—I'm too OP after all.
