Chapter 152 : Never Threaten Me [ Bonus Chapter ]
Felix cracked a smile, his eyes glinting with a peculiar intensity. "Do you know what my favorite hobby is?" he asked, leaning in slightly.
Croix blinked, caught off guard by the unexpected question. He looked at Felix, confusion etched on his face as he tried to decipher the meaning behind those words.
"My favorite hobby," Felix continued, his tone chillingly calm, "is destroying families. Do you have any idea what happened to the last person who dared to threaten mine? She watched in horror as her entire family was reduced to ashes, children, the elderly, even pregnant women, all of them perished before her eyes."
He paused for effect, letting the weight of his words settle in the air. "And that person? I dug her heart out with my bare hands."
A shiver ran through everyone in the conference room; it felt like ice had settled in their veins.
The casual demeanor Felix had begun with was now overshadowed by an unsettling darkness.
Croix felt a cold chill race down his spine, shivering slightly as an intense fear gripped his heart.
The icy gaze of Felix sent a wave of dread through him, but he quickly masked it with disdain, after all, feeling fear towards Felix was simply embarrassing.
"Hahahaha! This is the funniest joke I've ever heard!" Croix scoffed, laughter bubbling up as he sneered at Felix. "You, President Felix, are threatening the Bloodworth Noble Family? Do you even know who we are? My family is just as powerful as the Maywraiths! Your threats mean nothing to us!"
Felix calmly shook his head. "You may think I lack the power to threaten you or your family, but believe me when I say that if even a single hair on my family's head is harmed, your entire clan will pay dearly. You might not take me seriously now, but when the time comes, don't say I didn't warn you."
"What a joke!" Croix retorted with a sneer. "You're just a puny Tier 5 Grandmaster Knight daring to threaten my noble family? You must be hallucinating! Let me make this clear: if you don't hand over those bicycle design drawings, your entire family will be destroyed!"
"Idiot!" Logan interjected from the sidelines, shaking his head in disbelief at Croix's arrogance.
Draven joined him in disdainful silence; they both regarded Croix like he was a fool.
The rest of those present exchanged glances filled with unspoken thoughts, none wanted to rush into this escalating situation.
"Croix," Felix warned sharply, narrowing his eyes. "Leave my family out of this. If anything happens to them, I swear your clan will pay in blood. Don't do anything stupid that could endanger your entire family."
"Motherfucker! BOOM!" A sudden wave of pressure erupted from Croix as he glared at Felix with murderous intent burning in his eyes.
"Hand over the design drawings," Croix demanded coldly.
Even their ancestors would have shown deference to him if given the chance.
"Both of you sit down; this is Jarvis, my butler," Felix introduced casually.
"What?!" Draven and Logan gasped in unison, their eyes widening in disbelief as they turned back to Felix.
A Half-Saint serving as a mere butler? It was almost too extravagant to comprehend! In their family lineage, someone like Jarvis would be treated like royalty, not just another servant.
Meanwhile, the rest of the attendees were too consumed by their own turmoil to process what was happening, especially Croix, who lay sprawled on the ground covered in blood, looking utterly defeated.
"Jarvis!" Felix called out softly while waving his hand dismissively.
Instantly, the oppressive pressure that had enveloped the room receded like a retreating tide.
The fear that had gripped everyone seemed to dissipate along with it.
Those who had been trembling on the floor slowly stood up again; their faces were pale and still marked by dread as they glanced nervously at Felix and the imposing figure behind him.
Felix slowly rose from his chair, his gaze fixed on Croix, who had managed to rise from the floor but now knelt before him, blood soaking his body. The scene was tense, charged with an energy that crackled in the air.
Crouching down in front of Croix, Felix offered a gentle smile that contrasted sharply with the gravity of the moment.
"Listen closely, Mr. Croix," he said, his voice calm yet firm. "It's not that I'm afraid of your Noble Family or its power; it's just that I have no time for childish games.
This is your final warning: don't ever threaten me or my family again. If you do, what awaits you will be so excruciating that you'll wish for death itself, and even then, it might elude you." His words hung heavy in the air like a storm cloud ready to burst.
Croix's eyes widened with terror as he nodded vigorously, like a bird pecking at seeds, fear etched across his face.
He hadn't anticipated that this man, dressed entirely in white and looking almost angelic, would possess such a devil heart.
"Good," Felix replied as he stood up and returned to his chair.
A broad grin spread across his face as he surveyed the rest of those in the conference room, their expressions a mix of shock and fear.
