After Grandma Quan went inside to share the news with Grandpa Quan, Quan Yuanwei closed their door and knocked on the Sima family's door.
When Sima Yun opened the door, Quan Yuanwei said, "I have something important to discuss with you."
Noting his serious expression, Sima Yun replied, "Please come in, Brother Yuanwei."
After closing the door, Sima Yun joined Quan Yuanwei in the living room, took a seat across from him, and asked, "Brother Yuanwei, what do you want to talk about?"
Quan Yuanwei looked at Sima Yun and explained, "I'm planning to leave Juncheng City and follow Brother Long. Do you want to come with us or go to the Juncheng military base?"
Upon hearing this, Sima Yun frowned and asked, "Are they leaving because of the mutant rats?"
Quan Yuanwei and Sima Yun's eyes lit up when they heard Huang Qian's words.
Sima Yun nodded and gratefully said, "Thank you, Brother Huang. We will go back and pack so we don't delay the departure."

After they left, Shi Xuan came out carrying two bags of rice. He asked, "Did they come to ask if they could join us?"
Huang Qian turned to look at him and gave him a thumbs-up. He then curiously asked, "Brother Xuan, how did you know they wanted to come with us tonight?"
Shi Xuan stacked the bags of rice with the others and replied, "Isn't it obvious? The Sima and Quan families don't have cars. If they want to leave Juncheng City with us, they will need transportation."
"Hui Hui must have told them we are heading out tonight for cars and supplies. Knowing this, they must want to join us. Therefore, Brother Quan and Brother Sima will come to ask for
permission."
